Anyone who knows russ0r please read.

First, let me say this is not russ0r, I am his brother. I did not know where I should post this, but I'm guessing here is good. I am writing this because I knew he would want me to let his people know, when this sad event happened. Well it happened. He was raided at 11 o clock tonight. They kicked doors in that weren't even locked, tore through stuff like maniacs, well you guys know the whole 9 yards of how they do things. They claimed to have a warrant, but did not show one (usually don't when raided) I'm sure they had one being that the damn SWAT team was on premise. Everyone else here has drawn a collective conclusion as to what led up to this happening. He does not even know the entire events that occurred, as he was cuffed and taken away fairly instantly. All of his operation was taken. All told, there was probably less than 3/4 of a pound (in maryland, live plants just count by weight - and any amount 50 lbs or under receives the same sentencing recommendations) He faces up to 5 years and/or $15,000 fines, based on the guidelines I looked up. There are further and much worse aspects to this situation, but those cannot be helped now. He does however need any help he can get. I am not sure yet what extent of shit he is in, if he will make bail, anything. I do know that any help he can get will be appreciated. Am pretty sure he needs a good lawyer... anyone know any? I'll check on this thread daily until he gets out, and give updates if any. Please someone help a fallen brother.

this is another great loss to the community, russ was a eager grower that had flowered a few batches, i would not classify him as large scale. you must be careful here, and at the homefront. i remember when russ first got some quality seeds. now look at the hardship he must endure.

besides russ this happens alot more than we know. most of thetime we will never know. make sure you plan a way to defend yourself.

He might be able to claim it's personal. After all it was personal, no one other than him and I smoked it. But in the current system, where certain amounts or actions determine "automatic" intents to distribute, that has little hope. I'm not sure what exact charges he will face. Most likely, Possession under a pound, and cultivation under 50 pounds. The saddest info that has come to light, is that it is now obvious that someone close to him, who knew the exact location of his operation, reported him. We know this because of the fact that he did not show off his operation to random people or friends, and yet the police knew exactly where to go. Most of the people living here had no idea what he was up to in that closet. Other than myself and his wife, no one else knew where the operation was. We know I certainly did not have anything to do with it. They took my weed that he gave me and said they may or may not get back to me about it, so i don't know what I'll face. That leaves one other person who knew where it was, and to avoid pissing him off I won't say it outright. Moral of the story: Be careful who you trust. If it's a woman, be 10 times as careful. Amen to abudsmoker: any of you growing definitely make sure you have a plan for legal defense for when the fit hits the shan. I'm sure he's not going to do the full 5 years, at least I hope, but he's got some high quality seeds en route, which I will receive and hang on to for him incase he should decide to start again. It could be a while though...

bad deal, i hope it works out for him, id contribute but me financial state wont allow me to, seeing i just got out my self for possession, amoungst other charges. I am on my 1st grow and i have big plans for the future for growing and i havent told a soul what im up to, this is the only place i can talk about what im doing and im glad for that, Id say if your brother doesnt have any prior record, his charges will be reduced to make a plea agreement, also the police have to release who the confidential informent is as to judge the credability of that person in obtaining the warrant, so you will be able to know who snitched him out. but all i can say is tell him ti keep his head up, they like to lower the charges all the time and make plea agreements and if hes got no prior record he wont do any time, Again i hope it all works out for him.
PS, when you find out who the snitch is, i know a couple of knee breakers that work for cheap and from out of state,

Well if the search was legal they were to show a warrant after entry or post one at the premises to be seen. That will contain the reason for entry such as any CI(confidentila Informant) or other suspected cause the warrant was issued. You could always try going to your states legislator, they have the power to lessen and even dismiss fines, and considering he didn't hurt any body, and it's for personal use, it's quite possible that such a thing will be granted. If anything, it's worth a try. Best of luck.

And if you could would you please provide us with the details of the warrant where it said how they came to know about your brother.
I'm sorry for him and I don't know him but I was once a POW in the war on drugs and I know the hardships that await him.
Knowing how the police were able to get that warrant would be helpful to us.

its just fucked up that his old lady could have ratted him out. does she smoke? did they fight? any reasons specifically for ratting him out @ all?
