who make it ?

and what do it contain ? need more info please .. and pointers ? what do you want to know about it ?

I use either Light mix or All mix from Plagron, both with about 30% perlit in it..

if I use light mix, its only for seedlings as its .. well .. light = low on nutrients ..

so you don't burn your small baybies as small plants dont need much ..

if I use All mix I "delude" it with about 30% coco fibers for seedlings or use it when I repot in to bigger pots from cups ..

in general if you use a "normal" soil you wont need to feed the plants wile they are small 2-4 weeks as the soil contains enough for small plants ..

I use the pro-mix all the time for growing. It's real nice for the roots of the plants to spread through. I always add a half bottle of Osmocote to a bale of promix to start the plants in as well as some water crystals and bat guano if growing outdoors. Indoors just the Osmocote, it is a slow release non burning fertilizer. I never have to add anything more for the first 2-3 weeks for seedlings and then I start with my FF nutes.

Pro-Mix is aight if you only have few choices and some big box stores carry it.

Personally I am not a fan of peat based mediums....

But which Promix is it cause they have like 4 or 5 different types of promix now.

really they have 4-5 types? I've only seen 2 I use pro-mix bx with the microrizai shit it works just fine for me and only a few bucks more than the other shit they have. all I do is add nutes to it and my girls stay healthy the roots grow quik as shit in the shit I get never actually used the cheaper pro-mix though. you just need to use nutes or ammend the soil as its a soiless mix and has no nutrients in it. I use it for everything from germinating to cloneing and growing only thing I might do different is try out a side by side with coco cause a lot of people are using that shit now.

I use the original promix in the orange bale with better results then ffof. I add nothing to it and use gh flora series nutes and airpots.

I used Promix BX for around a year with great results. Now, to save money, I create my own peat-based mix but I have no complaints about promix.

Thanks for the replies.. I think the maker is Premier? Its in an orange bail. I just wanted to make sure it was an alright choice, it was either ProMix or Miracle Grow. After reading the responses I think I have an answer for the most part. Looks like I have to always feed too..

I use Pro-Mix exclusively. I prefer the B'cuzz brand, but any Pro-Mix will do. I add nothing to B'cuzz and usually add Perlite to BX. That's it. You can see the results link'd in my sig. There's an elegance to simplicity. Good luck.

Being a peat product it can and will drop in ph due to aging .. Pro Mix is fail proof for the most part but its still wise to sweeten it up with dolomite .. Most Nutrient lockouts I have seen were due to peat based soils and low ph..
