Anything to worry about?

The markings (aside from the bugs munching here and there). I’m thinking the hot 35c/100f weather for the last 2 weeks. Misty water droplets landing on leaves and burning mid day? Posting here just to make sure. Thanks!




This one still has some powdered pesticide residues on it from awhile ago. I double checked and most of this is still on the lower nodes from 4-5 weeks ago when flea Beatles were attacking the



that stuff on the edge. Nothing? Something? Outdoor basic wear and tear? These are all 2nd, 3rd node leaves. Plants are 7 weeks old. Autos.

Yup thrips. BTW, although spraying with most insecticides or what have you during daylight hours definitely can burn your leaves, water shouldn't, 90-100 dg's here daily, and every day I use the shower or mist attachment on my hose spray nozzle and blast the plants so I get the bottom of the leaves and pretty much everywhere. No leave burn, but it does help a lot in keeping pests from reproducing and hanging out on my plants. So far almost no insect issues, although if i looked carefully I may see a tiny bit of thrip damage on maybe one or 2 leaves and a very occasional whitefly. Now that flowering stretch started, I'll likely need to bust out the Spinosad and maybe BT when the buds develop

Scale of 1-10, how bad are thrips?

Will start spraying off. Although, I’m about week 3 into flower. Ok to do?

I’m not sure if Spinosad is available here in Canada. BT, you mean Bacillus thuringiensis?
I use that for worms on my Kale, etc.

For now I put on some yellow sticky traps to monitor. Also isolated the plant from the others. Counted 3 thrips in total looking at the plants for 5 minutes very closely. If you can confirm if spraying them off 3 weeks into flower is ok, I’ll start doing that (will google that method some more too of course). I don’t think I’ll use the soap because it’ll get all over my buds.



I have pyrethrin, but it’s super harsh toward bee’s and I’m reluctant to use it unless it’s a full on infestation. It’s also difficult to apply (flower).

If anyone else wants to chime in please do!

There we go….until I can get my hands on some pyrethrin spray and/or anything else that won’t hurt the buds. Wtf do you use when you’re in mid-flowering stage? Sucks! Otherwise I would just nuke these fuckers with pyrethrin powder, put a bag over the plant overnight and call it aday.

All the good pesticides are not approved here in Canada, even pyrethrin spray is hard to find. I’ll take a photo next time but some of these sticky’s had like 4-5 thrips on them already over the course of 3hrs.
