My stoned metric conversion is a little off...it's inly ~800*F...400c. What do you know as the temp. I'll get an IR thermometer and show you.first that's a great update man and as usual a great comparison grow. mad props to ya.
but where do you come up with the figure that it is 60% less heat? I mean how do you determine this?
and your estimate of an hid bulb running @ 1500 degrees f is waaaay off man ...not even close. If they ran that hot it would melt the reflector.

And I made a mistake and will correct it in the next video...it's 60% more not 60% less...40% more.
1 watt=3.4144btu's...no matter what light source or efficiency. But like I said, the fact that a led unit doesn't get over 100*f helps maintain ambient better than the hot source hps.
Thanks man. Exactly. And that has brought me to this point. Even if the AT looses, I don't see any other light(s) being able to beat it or the 1000hps. AT fully supported this this test from the get go and still does. I am a little worried...but AT is feeling great about it. No other company is willing to put their light head to head against a 1000hps...not even a 600 or 400 for that matter. I would love to see more lights show down with their hps counterparts. led vs led would be cool too...but we are not trying to replace led...yet. One day when led's are the go to in growing that will matter, but for now hps needs to go down.Hi Greengenes .Great Job !! In the market , there are few led grow light which can match the HPS 1000W . Many companies tell us that their led grow light can equal to 600W ,1000W , but few can prove . Look forward to your next video .
De nada. Was an honest mistake. I have no problems being wrong and correcting it. I want everything out in the open.gracias senor

I agree, match wattage and the 600s will pull better.bolding this^^^^^^ for my "slower" friends..........................
600w hps is harder to beat than a most 1000w hps ,
be safe GG
Dude start your own thread, lil rude to just post a TOTALLY unrelated question in somebodies grow... and to answer your question you could put a flash light in for side lighting and it would prob help... post a thread with pics and descrip of your grow dont just ask ?'s in random threads...QUICK QUESTION.... I am currently flowering with a 600w hps, I have a 100w mbi that a friend gave me to do my clones, could I throw that in for sum side/under lighting???

how about get a life i was only asking a question if you can't answer it then it doesn't concern youHow about starting ur own thread?
The ruder you get the less likely you are to get an answer... i noticed you posted that thread this afternoon if no one gives it a reply try a different part of the forum but it is not polite to ask for help in a non help thread and gdt mad when told to do so eleshwere....

I never have had the success with 600's that I have with 1000's. And commercial growers and larger scale choose 1000's too. Both of this are big reasons for why I choose it.I agree, match wattage and the 600s will pull better.
Way to go man. Hope they helped where I couldn't. All really nice and knowledgable guys there. Can't wait to see what you get going.Just got off the phone with Mike at AT. Got my first one on its way. Can't wait to fire this thing up.

sorry I did make one and posted in a few others with no reply, I currently have 5 ak47 flowering under a 600w hps, I have never heard of an mbi and I was just wondering if it was the correct spectrum for flowering...
It's not polite or a good tactic to get what you want, to bombard someones thread with unrelated shit. Specially more than once.any "light" you could shed on this matter would be greatly appreciated
thankyou for your information and sorry about that im new to this site, infact this is the first time i have used a forum ever so am only just beginning to learn how it all worksWay to go man. What if I told you it was a horrible idea...
What if I told you it was a great idea...
I honestly don't know what a mbi is either but assuming it is in the visible range...any light added is going to help. So if you feel you need side lighting then yes that light will work as side light. 100w of some questionable light for clones isn't going to over power the spectrum or quanta that the 600hps is throwing out.
Other than that you should start your own thread and people will find it and comment...there will be people who like what your doing...people that actual help you in a constructive way...people that just come in to say what's wrong with it...and people who always have a better way of doing it. In the end there will be plenty of information to decipher and double check.
