Apache AT600 led vs 1000w HPS Blue Dream Grow

I am struggling with sealing the room and all that comes with it...AC, filtering the AC exaughst, and some heat. Mid summer as all of you know, and just about everywhere is 90*+. Heat is a little issue. The AC I have on stand by is old(7 years) and needs to be replaced. So I am not sure if co2 is going to happen this round.
But I upgraded my 4 year old fan finally for a 8" hyper fan. The thing pushes 2X the air(710cfm) and only runs 1/2 the wattage(75w)...plus built in dimmer(so no humming and even less watts). Very nifty fan. And cheap comparatively. So I also had to go to an 8" filter. Plus I switched my air around. Used to be smoking room to grow room to exhaust outside. Now it comes straight from outside(filtered of course) to the grow room then exhausted in the smoking room. The fan fixed the temps asap...plus the direct outside air makes it super cool in there now. And the final step is to add a few more wall and stand fans for total circulation.

And now the biggest bummer... I had to drop 4 more more plants. The Lady said I ad too much going on in there. There are some battles that just aren't worth fighting...keeping a solid garden for time to come is better than her being pissy and making really back off.
So it will just be the 4x8 of 10 dreams under 2 at600's, and 4 OG's under the diy drone. Making about ~4x12.

I almost forgot... last night was day 1 of 12/12.

What type of AC are you using? Wouldn't a mini-spit be the way to go. Then exhaust the room only when the lights are out.

Yeah I listen too. In my case its happy wife happy life. Its worth it though. U have 2 at600s?

Portable...which exhaust it's air Nd then needs to be filtered. A window unit would solve that. And then yes...a mini slit is ideal.
But the thing is...is that I have never had to run an AC. The majority of the year I am fine to run as many lights as I want with no AC. But right now it's just a little too hot. A lot had to do with that I was vegging...so lights were running in all day instead of just at night. Big difference there already since flip.
So it has never been a priority or a major concern to get an AC. I think a major redesign is in order after this run.
So if co2 will be a consistent thing a mini spit might be on the radar...jut for now the AC is just to get by and test co2. Then maybe I'll splurge for the mini split.

Exactly. It's not like the 4x8 wasn't taking care of my needs. So I understand her point. I have a normal/day job, I'm really not trying to pull every potential $ out of the room. I just like to win/succeed so I like going big/full.

Hey g dono if you've picked one out yet but Home Depot's daily deal for today is on ACs, 30% off the ones listed, Haier 14k, 12, 10 and 8k. The first three have a dehumidify setting that could come in handy in my part at least. Thinking about nabbing the 10k for 250 bucks while I can, my Whynter AC is a 12k mini split but doesn't put out COLD air, just recirculates the hot air. (found it on Clist for 75 bucks)

and good move with the lady, like I haven't heard that "Don't you think..." talk before (eye roll..) the big pull on the DIY was that it costs "less" to build my own than a pre made panel. HA... but she is STOKED with our outdoor garden that I used my ROLS on. Shit TON of cucumbers and peppers.

Lol alright alright, here are the ones I literally just picked. Took 3 cuts off the jalapeño and banana peppers too, give me somethin to do indoors.

I've had issues with cabbage maggots and I pulled all my bell peppers, they weren't doing shit, and my well water (sprinklers) have made some of my leaves look like hit. But all in all- pretty happy.

I do have a question about when to pull banana peppers (I'm reading once they lose their green hue, they will go yellow-orange- an even a bit red) same for cucumbers but have readers specific to the kind, first few we let get too big and she said they tastes a bit bitter (I don't like cucumbers, love pickles, I know..) also the discoloration on this pepper, curious what it is. I DO plan on makin another batch with plenty of time to let 'er cook before i throw somethin in it. That and some blumats! Hope your doin well fly!!!

Bitter cucumbers are usually due to heat and picking too late== you want NO yellowing(past edible maturation) on the fruit

Also make sure to lay down something under your developing strawberries(straw/etc.), keep them off of the moist soil.

As stated earlier in this thread you need bees to produce good crop weights scotch, if your bell peppers are flowering just shake the shit out of them to help with pollination.

Yuppers on the bees, native flowers are great in attracting bees bugs and birds.

Usually ill plant veggies towards the outer borders of the garden and plant flowers and other perennials for the bees/birds towards the middle/inner part of the garden.
But of course bio diversity is key so plant everything everywhere!

Psssht you pansies and your bell peppers lol. Im on that super hot peppers shit. I got some tasmanian habaneros getting ready pick, ghost pepper throwing all sorts of flowers and 1 of the 2 trinidad scorpions is finally flowering. The other one is starting the balls for the flowers but worried it wont have time to finish the season before it gets to cold.

Really having trouble thinking what I am gonna do with my peppee harvest, most people I know want nothing to do with these peppers lol.

Most my peppers and chillies are sweet lol.

I think my fear of the hot peppers goes back to me as a child and squirting pepper in my eye.

I Dono if jalapeños are pickled or what from subway and papa Johns and shit (more olive color) but mine are significantly hotter than those by a lonnnng shot.

I did read tht magnesium is what gives the spice in peppers which I thought was cool.

I have had ghost peppers from the same friend tht gave me the fruity chronic cut I had and had some Trinidad powder before- loved it on my tacos, but yea, the market has got to be small lol. Told the lady we hould start a booth advertising "100% veganic/organic garden food" to get rid of this overstock we've already accumulated.

Yeah those trinidads are no joke, speaking of squirting eye these do have me thinking about eye protection come culinary time... I had heard the magnesium thing too scotch, first year growing something other than pot so IDK though. But I topdressed my peppers with some epsom salt recently just to make sure they singe my ass hair on the way out lol.

I guess I could show my other garden...

Zucchini are fucking ridiculous. Every day we are pulling 4-8 squash a day between 2 plants. And one now has almost like topped it's self and is growing many heads off the main/original vine/head.

My ghost peppers were barely hanging on to life, I thought it was the soil,it was a Coco and Seasoil mix. I figured there was to much salts from not rinsing the coco enough so I changed them to some store bought mix. Out of 13 I have two left outside which are still struggling and one I moved to DWC indoors under some XML2s, it is starting to take off. I figured I was too far north and now when I look at yours I'm sure I am.
