some of the posts in here make me laugh.
i have a 2 bedroom apt and i keep the door locked usually always unless i'm in there. i try not to have people over but when i do, no one notices or even has a clue.
if you do a perpetual grow you should be able to harvest a pound every 2 weeks,
i would try to do as close to a SOG technique as possible.
so the key is to have around 20 clones ready to go in your bloom room every 2 weeks.
i put 20 plants in there at the same time, 10 of them were indicas so i knew they would be done faster, after they were flowering for 25 days i put 20 new ones in, so now the 10 indicas are about to be done, the 10 sativas will be done about 30 days later. so now since the indicas are 45 day strains i will be harvesting twice(one harvest is only 10 plants big, while the next one is 20 plants big) before the sativas will even be done.
so after i chop these 10 i will be putting another set of 20 in there,
i plan on only getting around an ounce per plant, maybe a bit less. because of the short veg time.
i have my room split into 2 sections.
the side with the closet is the veg, and to divide it i built a frame and panda'd to separate the 12/12 side.
i have a property management company but they are not on site.
they send a maintenance guy out every 6 months to replace the smoke detector batteries.
the first year i was able to play it off. i caught the guy as he put the note on my door and told him i just recently replace the batteries because i didnt know they would provide that.
6 months later, with the maintenance guy living across the alley i have built somewhat of a rapport with him.
he seems to have the understanding that i'm the G around here and now he just hands me my batteries when its time and says "here, this is so i dont have to go in your place with out you being there"
now back to the room.
a pound per 1000w is a very reasonable number.
i live in cali and have my card, but it only permits 12 plants.
i'm way over my limit
my bill is around 120-150 per month.
that doesnt raise any questions as long as you stay on top of your bill.
power company is a business just like any other. they have a product to sell and that comes first. so just dont get behind on your bill and you will be fine.
i would say go hydro in my opinion.
its less messy, easier to dispose of when you harvest, neater, little to no insects i guess depending on where you live.
the only thing i recommend is getting a good carbon scrubber, the bigger you can afford the better.
its noisy if you set it on the ground or hang it with chains. you have to hang it and the fan with bungies and robber grommets between the hook and bungy,
just stay low key, dont have people in and out super fast. you will be fine.
i understand the concerns of the other fellas in here, but i think you will be fine if you have proper ventilation and odor control.
sorry if any of this is redundant. its late, i'm high and its time to go mimis
cheers and good luck...
