Vent apartment when cooler and windy usually at night when people are asleep keep closed while smoking unless ya have vents that go to the roof top then leave those vents on 24/7. i use bleach to wash the air while i am enclosed and air fresheners to throw off the scent. hope this helps.

Ona Liquid when used in the smoking area only is 100% effective.. again if you dont want it around the plants ... you dont have to...
Buy the liquid pour in some INSTA ZORB and it will last for months! use a mason jar and open while smoking and leave open till odor has passed close and put in cupboard...

i feel like its a horse that never dies.. its the greatest invention for smell and so under rated.. you buy it once, occasionally replace a 20 dollar bulb or a 30 dollar ballast.. and it keeps on running. carbon filters only work if the humidity is under 50% and you have to replace them every so often, and how much do they cost? an ozone gen is 140.. its just common sense and a lot of people seem to just miss that one, causing me to feel the need to bark up this tree frequently.

Sad but true HOWEVER people have serious medical concerns over Ozone which IS understandable. It CAN be toxic.. in high doses.. and there IS some government based literature on the effectiveness of ozone generators (whatever thats worth)
Ozone generators Are inexpensive and have a GREAT ROI! but its also another you have to power! and growers like myself have to mitigate risk vs reward.. im using a deau passe filter..which is when washed regularly GREAT! so long as you keep it clean.. and wash it which when used properly works for years! ive used it over a year and all i can smell is a rubber like smell coming from it! not to mention i dont really grow alot...and it sure beats downy sheets!

don't know if anyone mentioned this as i've only read the first page, so if so, sorry, but i bought for when i smoke in the car, which is pretty much whenever i'm in it, lol.. a lil thing i saw advertised in i think it was skunk or hightimes called the smoke buddy... it's like a small hand held carbon fliter that you simply blow your hit through and it comes out nice and odorless.. pretty much the same concept as the paper towel holder i used as a wee lad, but a lil more sophisticated.. and the thing works pretty well if you're smoking bowls out of it as i find too much smoke gets into the air and stinks things up worse if you're smoking a joint or a blunt...

they handed those things out at age last year, except they were called something else.. came in like a chapstic tube and made everything smell like resiny waffles

What I did for smell in my appartment was used packing tape, folded it little less than half way and stick it on the bottom of the doors. This worked for 1 skunk #1 x big bud (4.5 oz) and 1 auto ak 47.

I also used the same packing tape method on the cracks around the doors. Works well

yah, now that you mention those ones, i do remember seeing them in a magazine as well.. i think you use them only a few times each and toss them, unlike the smoke buddy.. i think you might get like 5 or so for around $20 or so from what i remember.. damn if i can remember the name for that brand though..

Hmmm yes i could implement a low level of ozone in addition to my carbon filter (might increase the life too) Ill look into it.
Thanks for all the tips though guys, pretty sure i can get this thing done now :P.

Far as smoke think i might just build a mini carbon filter sploof thats a bit nicer than the cardboard/dryer sheet one.

HEAT!? I plan on getting an HPS and having a closet grow (space wise at least) i was thinking 250 or 400 W, would this work or be too hot?

Nice, did you grow in a closet or cab or what??? I was thinking of building something to somewhat contain the smell but obviously that wouldnt help my heat issues.

I grew in my closet. I had a hole in the wall with an inline fan under the bathroom sink which is behind the closet. Worked good. If you're growing in a closet I suggest you keep the door open to the grow till lights out so the heat can escape easier.

For smell like I said before I used packing tape on the door cracks and it was extremely effective. You have no idea how pungent my auto AK47 smelled and the Big Bud x Skunk was almost as bad.

Im confused you taped up the cracks but also had the door wide open :/?
Also how did you cut the hole or was it there?
