Apollo and Marshydro led auto flower grow(newb)

I like the way you think, I think ill give it a go. Should I do the usual 2x the amount of water to what your planter size is (so 10gal water for a 5gal planter) and then add a good balanced nute ratio for the last half gallon or so when the soil is on the dry side?
If you use the silica take it easy. The plants love it but in small doses. Best of luck to you.

yes, exactly.

awesome thank you soo much for the help! I watered them both yesterday so their due for a watering come Sunday so ill do the flush Monday morning with some ro

yeah, I tend to be a little more specific. didnt see where you told him to flush, or why. I just stated what I would do
Because i wouldn't flush my plants i would just water a few times with plain water and then return to feeding. I dont believe in stripping my plants of all of thier nutrients with flushing.

Just remember Less is more. As they say a little Dab will do ya!!. Remember the K.i.S.S method. (Keep it super simple).

so after some researching I'm going to pretty much abandon all my other nutes and go simple. I picked up a bottle of dyna gro foliage pro and plan on just using that all the way through. @Resinhound I just have a couple questions if that's ok. I know you mentioned throwing some K in the mix a couple weeks into flower I do have terpinator (0-0-4) that I bought when I first started and never used it as I didn't think auto flowers had enough time to let it work correctly but would this be ok for adding that extra K? I also am having a hard time figuring out a feed schedule, would it better to feed every watering with a less amount or do water, water, feed, and on feeding day go a little bit heavier?

Your feeding schedule kinda depends on your growing medium. In soil a feed, feed, water regimine works good. In soilless you want to feed every time. Terpinator is fine, it's just a real expensive potassium sulfate. But yes it will work fine, you won't need to add it until probably the 3rd/ 4th week of flower. Basically you want to wait until you start seeing the buds start filling out, then add your k.

awesome thank you for the reply! All these nutes I got suckered into buying were expensive haha but you live and learn,
I'm in happy frog soil so ill try the feed feed water and see how that goes

Something to keep in mind happy frog contains some nutrients, you probably won't have to feed at all for 2 or 3 weeks. There can be a pretty big variance from one bag to the next with soils like this. So if you see any yellowing or your plant transitions into flowering that's going to be your cue to start feeding. It's much better to just let them feed off the soil through veg if possible, rather than overfeeding them from the start. You have limited veg time with autos, overfeeding in veg is devastating to your overall grow. This is one reason I prefer inert mediums, too much variance from bag to bag with these soils. On the other hand you have some pH stability and moisture retention qualities that make soil attractive . in the end it comes down to personal choice and what you feel comfortable with.

I noticed with my first plants they didn't need any "veg" nutes for about their first 4 weeks ill wait till they show me they are hungry thank you again for the reply can't wait to see results!

here's an update on the purple cheese and super bud I decided to just give them two plain waterings with a good amount of run off for both instead of flushing they are still packing on weight and will probably be harvested the next 10-15 days mayb a little longer they are 2 months old today
the devils cream autos are looking good and doing their thang they are 9 days from sprout.
