APOLLO LED super silver haze,secret sour,buddha haze and grapefruit diesel

Hiya,first journal here!

it looks like one of the nicest forums ive come across,good ppl good info.Seen quite a few led journals so i thought i'd start my own.

Its my first "real" grow under lights.i grew outdoors and under the swimming pool under lights at my mums place in portugal.now living in the uk and was really interested in LEDs.

I bought two apollo 8s red,blue 5:1. made by cidly (silver haze)

Im drip feeding coco to waste.ive got a super silver haze(mr nice seeds) and a couple of buddha haze vegging under led. also 2 secret sours (DNA) and a grapefruit diesel under a 250 w cfl.

Now, when i put the sours under led they went from this

to this so i put them back under cfl and 5 days later theyre looking really healthy again?!

At the time i had the light around 18 inches away and im now thinking that may have been to close?

its definitely the light as everything else is ok.5.8ph room temps 25 lights off 21 humidity 45. 450ppm canna A + B,zyme,calmag.


Any ideas would be awesome!

too close. They need hardening off and further away, with all that blue light. Are those panels dimmable?

soz man they're actually 13/2 red blue.still too close though,right? how do i harden them off? gradually introduce them to led? no theyre not dimmable.the two of them draw about 490w from the wall.cheers

Put them at the edges of the tent if that affects it much, otherwise raise the panel would be my suggestion. They may just be a little young and get some toughness with age if your other plants are OK with it


edit: looking at photos again, you could slightly slant one your panels inwards, creating an area down one side getting less light in total and dramatically less blue light (because of their position towards the middles of the rows) since i assume youll be wanting your other plants to be as close/getting as much light as possible.

hmm ok so what ive done is put one the sours under the led at around 30inches away for the last couple hours tonight and i'll leave it in and see what shes saying tomorrow.they are quite a lot bigger than they were before so im hoping shes grown up! thanks man

Yeah, its recommended that you put young plants at least 24" or so from the more modern LEDs.

Hmmm i would say it depends on a number of factors, especially age. My panels are about 10 inches from canopy right now.
