Hello, I have a dirty fish tank that needs the water changed. Can I use the aquarium fish shit water to water my plants. Seems like a good idea, but want to get some feed back first. Please reply

Iv done it and they didn’t show any negative results. I used to always pump into the rose garden and that I did notice a difference.
Now I just pump into my 55 drum and dump into my mulch pit.

Personally I'd be a little hesitant about using aquarium water straight. However, I do have dirty filters bubbling at all times that I water with every other watering.

I used fish water a long time ago. The only issue was high ammonia from neglected tanks. Burned things pretty bad. I then began diluting 1 to 1 with water. Great results from then on. Just don't store for any amount of time. Water will stagnate and kill things.

Good luck.

I will PH before using. The water has no clorine because its been there for maybe 1 1/2 wks.

You doing a water change after a week and a half ? Populated tank?
Would be required if small capacity, over crowded, under filtered, no filter or over fed and maybe direct sunlight as well.

I base OP's knowledge on their PH'ing for ammonia. Reading and learning is suggested. Sorry I no longer partake of the fish passion.

Betta bowl no filter I’d assume. That’s the only tank Id change frequently like that.

My fish hobby is gone as well. But my 50gl tank will always have fish. And I’ll always have my 50. I have to have a live aquarium going. It means a ton to me to have those little guys.

Yeah, I have a 30 and I dont see myself getting rid of it anytime soon. It's a real morale booster come middle of winter when it's cold af and dark by 4pm. Definitely time for some new fish.

My daughter's been using the 28 gal. It has Glofish tetras and neon tetras in it. Those Glofish are pretty cool.

Apologies for the derail.

Bred piranha and African cichlids through the 90's. A wall to wall 14 x 20' room of 10 gallon and 5 gallon tanks. All using air powered corner filters. Nightmare. And my pride was my 135 gal living cichlid habitat.

Addictive and pricey stuff.

My peak was in African cichlids Had a 150 wild style lake Malawi I believe. I forgot ?
100 gal sump live rock and lake bottom gravity gravel filter.
Imported sand and rock from the lake itself. That tank was mostly electric blues anchor islands. Peacocks for days, rams and few other randoms. Like exotic plecos and stuff
South American 500gal indoor pond with oscars parrots and koi.

10x10 “blue room” wall to wall 10 and 20 gal holder tanks on one sump. 250 gal res tank.
I bred fish and reptiles for years (birds too).
And had my own half a store to set up shop. But later had to move everything because everything had NFS on it and losing business. So I retired my animal fun and simplified tremendously. Sucks cause it was so much fun and I was good at it.

I believe you are my doppelganger. Same crazy pets for profit stuff. Did Lake Malawi and Victoria wild caughts. Lost a ton on $250 specimens that die from cyanide toxicity after receipt. Miss the beauty. Not the work and stress. Only made money on ghost shrimp and my 4 red tail cats.

I didn’t sell aquatic. If I did. It was guppies and Molly’s and stuff that bred like crazy. Mostly made profit doing in home cleaning, re design and set ups from scratch.

Reptiles. Eh. I mostly liked to breed to get the mutations I wanted and there fore mostly traded for other exotics. Iv had it all from anaconda green and yellow. 15 and 22 foot retics and large Burmese. Wasn’t a business. Just a straight up lifestyle. Now I have my one tank. My cats. Chickens. And recently and fucking guniea pig. Lol
