are 2' flouro tubes any good to use??

hey

my mate gave me this reflector box that holds four 2' flouros are these any good to use or are cfl's better?

They're fine for the first two weeks or so, after that you'll need more light. You want a minimum of 3000 lumens per square foot for growing, 5000 lumens per square foot recommended.

They come in different sizes, T8 and T12. They are usable for veg. But T5 HO, small intense bulbs, are available in 24 and 48 inches and in red and blue spectrum. They are great for growing, better than cfls. I presently have 8 T5s overhaed.
