Are autos worth it?

that's why breeders sell seeds, and growers have pheno hunts. so no, the list is a great place to start in that search.
The point is, any strain from seed will most likely offer up a variable selection of traits. AK47 for example which is listed in the given example. I grew out three packs and had some dark, stocky tight noded 8 weekers and some 11+ Sativa stretchers. Of course growers hunt for phenos but a " short flower list" from seed is misleading and inaccurate.

No, not worth it. Autos go for 50-80 days, a regular or fem seed can finish in 80+. Indicas on average about 100, sativas 120. But regs and fems yield so much more under the same conditions.

Get the idea of 'finishing quickly' out of your head. If you do this early on you will become a better grower quicker. The more important question is, how can I yield more? It's all about yield, not finishing quickly. You could do a dozen autos in my main flower room and in 60 days you might have a 1-1 1/2 lbs. While in 100 days with just 6 plants I can do almost 3 lbs. You tell me which is better?
15-24 ozs in 60 days or 42-50 ozs in 100 days? Just a crude example/assumption but it makes my point. Forget about time and deal with yields.
