Foil can be used but creates hot spots. The designs in light reflectors are made to reflect light in specific ways. Foil can bend into odd shapes creating hot spots. Picture the foil reflecting light in all different unknown directions, some areas may get a group of foil reflections that create a hot spot. Not something you need to change right away, unless you research it and choose too.
