Are my kids growing too slowly?

Hey, ya'll. It's day 10 on my grow and the kids aren't looking too big (pics in my sig). I'm concerned that the space I'm growing in may be too big with not enough lights or too hot.

Am I just being impatient or are there things I should be doing that I haven't thought of?

What kind of lights are you using? how big is the space? how far are the lights from the plants?

Using 4x 23w 6000k CFLs and 2x 23w 2700k CFLs in a pretty small space (about the size of a bookshelf for encyclopedias) and the lights are VERY close to the plants (about 3 inches at the most)
