Are my lights too close or too far away?

Hi all. Newbie grower here. Purchased a tent/kit from a local hydro shop and got some auto seeds online. Was curious to know if my lights are too far or too close from the babies. I don’t have a par meter yet. I have a 6 bulb fixture. 3 red lights and 3 white lights. I have the 3 red lights on at the moment. Lights are about 8- 10 inches from babies as shown in the pictures

I see you have 2 sprouts - 1 in each container? You are pulling 14 watts per bulb? What is the temp at the surface of the pots? What is the humidity? Can you dome both sprouts?

They look like LED bulbs . I think the bulbs could go lower based on temp at the top of the sprout height. It should be 70 to 80 degrees F. I also think the bulbs may be lacking in intensity and will be weak for mid to late vegging plants.

So I would be looking for new lights that can give up to 800 or 900 PAR for flower and can dim to around 200 PAR......for sprouts...... Generally giving up to 40 or 50watts per square ft. of grow area.

What are the dimensions of your tent?

Best regards

Hey man. Thanks you for your reply. Those bulbs are 14w a piece. 6 lights total in the fixture but only using 3 of the lights at the moment. Those t8 led bulbs that I’m using don’t give off any heat whatsoever. My tent usually sits at 73-76 degrees right now. Around 69-75% humidity as well. Those numbers will go up in summer. Richmond Virginia here. As of dimensions it’s 3’2” x 2’ x 4’8” in inches. Highdrogro tent

Autos if you've never grown anything can be hard if you dont have good watering practices. Overwatering a auto is detrimental will stunt and practically ruin the grow. Photos allow you to veg while you figure all that out watering, nutrients, let's you get to know the plants one on one until you're confident and can take a healthy plant into flower.

I use a agrobrite 8 tube t5 with eye hortilux power veg bulbs in a 3x3 to veg Florescent is only good 12 inches away from light any growth further than that wont receive adequate light and will usually die leaves not main stalk and stems. Yours may be less since its fewer watts, incorrect nanometers and no high output full spectrum uv. Also bud quality lacked. I'd have to grow a really good size plant to get anything. But they veg good if you use them right. Fluorescents can hover over plants doing all but touching, bulbs will burn plants if they set on them for too long I've had a many have over night growth spurts

Quantum boards ( horticultural lighting group ), growers choice or of equal quality for flower
