No they are not common but I have seen them quite often from plushberry and killing field strains.

Yes I have. There is a thread opened by me around 7-9 days ago about the same.

I believe that why some strains finishing with purple hue all over them.
Nothing abnormal imho.

What strain are the plants?
Strain is Lemon OG Haze from Nirvana shop. Anyone know if there a reputable vendor? Didnt have the time to properly care for her so I'm in the process of trying to salvage the time left I have to feed and flush. Have everything from clear to dark dark amber with few notes of the purple stalks in between

Pics of the plants and the buds please......
Trich finish is only one indicator to me...For some of my strains, not much of one either.

Have you ever had a 60 day strain take an extra 3 or 4 weeks to finish
Yes.

You see. Your environment is different then the breeders environment. Differing enviro's greatly effect growth of strains in many ways.

In fact. I have seen people ask if the plant "shift's genetically" as you successively clone it. Because it changed the way it looked and grew.
Like it got taller and took longer.

This is NOT a genetic shift!
It is an environmental shift.

The plant is now growing to more of the type of strain that grows better in your environment. For the strains involved in the cross used to make the strain your growing.
Example would be like it does the taller and longer thing. It is growing to more of the Sativa side. My bet would be you have warmer and more humid conditions then the breeder..Not to forget that lighting, what you feed, how much you feed and how you feed it....Are also environmental conditions. There are more conditions then most people think..

So yes. I myself have, had those things happen to me....

I should point out that your concentration potentials do NOT change.... You still have every chance of making the plant do the same THC/CBD and Terp as the breeder. Maybe even better, if he didn't hit the best the potentials could have been....Rare but happens.

I've seen purple trichs in pictures over the years. I've never gotten any visibly on a plant, though I have made oil from non purple plants that turned purple..... so maybe it was in the trichs and I just didn't notice. I stopped looking at trichomes years ago so its been awhile.

With regards to Weed Willy's Afghan. Another variable that I"'ve been preaching for years is when did you start to count your 60 days? Based on everything I've read, seen, and personally experienced growing you should not start counting weeks until the plants actually start to show flowers. Plants must reach genetic maturity before they will begin to flower, which is one reason different plants take longer or shorter to begin to show flowers. I have been watching people grow online, and in person since 2005. I've seen the "is my plant finished" thread so many times and almost every time its to early.
