Are reservoirs supposed to stink kinda funky after a day or two?

You should be aware that freezers have a surprisingly low BTU rating. Much less than a small air conditioner or chiller. I wouldn't be surprised if it fell short of your expectations. Not saying it will, just that it wouldn't surprise me.

What I mean is that I am gonna buy a chest freezer big enough to accomodate, like, 15x gallon plastic bottles. All I need are 4 a day. They take like 2 days to freeze. I will never run out of frozen bottles that way.

Anyway, everything is going good, sorry great!, the past 2 almost 3 weeks. The res's are clear as spring water. No sign of stink, algea, or whatnot, absolutely perfect. And I have the slits open. Absolutely no problem light is causing in my res's, fact!

Anyway, growth is not as fast as I was expecting, had to reduce the ppms and now they are starting to pick up. However, they are very lazy to sex :?:. 2 weeks on 12/12 and only 1 showed female, 1 showed male, other 7 still not showing. I do not have autos.
