Are the feds tracking card purchases?

I got a letter from my bank saying that unauthorized third-party entities have my card name and card number in a database? Could this be the feds tracking my purchases or is this some fraud taking place?

phone your bank manager and ask him in person what it's about. i forever get paypal realted emails/letters saying that my accont blah blah please log in to sort the issue immediately. always fraudulent at the end of the day.

Far more likely that it is simple fraud. As if the Feds couldnt avoid being reported on.

Unless you are growing hundreds of plants the feds have much bigger fish to fry and wouldn't bother with you or your card.

I could be wrong, but I'm thinking if the Feds have your info, you aren't getting a warning about unauthorized access.
