Are there any MM recipients from Michigan here?

Hi everyone. I need some help getting familiar with the process to get approved for medical marijuana in Michigan. Now that it's federally legal I'd really love to be able to be able to enjoy one of my favorite recreational activities without having to worry about being criminalized (again).
As a recipient of disabilities, and somebody with a history of involuntary hospitalization and a list of psychoactive medications I've been perscribed about a mile long, I don't think I would have a problem getting approved. I just need some advice as to where to start persuing getting marijuana medically perscribed to me. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

A little more information; I've been to the michigan government website, I can't get the application form to come up for some reason but one of my main issues is that I've already spoken to my doctor, who basically said that their office doesn't deal with it. Now, the application states that you must have approval of a health care physician, so I'm wondering if she is obligated to provide that to me or if I have to seek out a different doctor who will grant me approval?

There's a clinic in Southfield that will walk you through the process. All the info is available on here or you can just google MMJ in Michigan and get loads of the correct info to get started. The Doctor can only recommend MMJ for you, then an application is submitted to the state to see if they deem your ailments worthy of treatment with MJ. If you have medical records it should basically be a breeze for you. I myself have not seen a regular doctor in over 20 years so that's a major drawback for me ATM, but am planning on starting the process also. Costs, if I remember correctly are roughly $300 for the whole ordeal, but again, if you have previous medical records it should be a relatively simple process for you.
