Are these black spots some sort of mold or fungus?

Hi,

I seem to be losing my plants about 4 or 5 weeks into flower. I have seen fungus gnats around and have never dealt with any sort of fungus or mold or anything. I think I might have a few different problems going on at once, but I have eliminated it down to these black dots being the main culprit. The black dots, the scaly looking things, and the rusty looking leaves are what worries me the most. Please help with any ideas about what I have going on other than some spider mites. Most pictures are taken from a digital microscope.

Temp:85 day, 78 night
Humidity: 40-60%
Water: PH 6.4 Calcium deficiency maybe though? No RO, but filtered artesian well water through tall boy
Nutrients: Foxfarm and Humboltd Don't really think nutes are the problem, they don't produce black dots, Happy Frog Soil
Remedies Tried So Far: Neem, Xcel Fungicide, Pyrethirum Foggers, Both kinds of Zero Tolerance, Sterilizing the whole house

I will update with more info if needed, Thank You.

Regaredless, I'm asking about the black spots, not nutrient problems. They have been flushed and fed only water, and they continue to get worse.

Plus, it seems to spread from plant to plant. I'll see it starting in one place, and then all the plants around it start to get it.

You have advanced case of nutrient overabundance. You also have an obvious mite infestation. I also saw some remnants of foliar spots. And doesnt look like you made a test leaf for your neem treatment and just bombed everything. Neem can be harmful as well it can burn your foliage. Always use a test leaf if your treatment spray can handle it. If it cannot dilute it then rinse and repeat.

I thought about thrips, since the leaf's damage does look more like thrips than mites, although the mites are there too, but I have never seen a thrip near the plants, only fungus gnats and spider mites. The dots look to me like fungus spores that I have seen in a close up of powdery mildew(none of that thank goodness!), so I was wondering if other fungus spores looked the same. It looks like fusarium wilt pictures I have seen in my research, and that's scary to me.

looks to me like several issues..
(take a photo of the plant outside the lights you have dont show us what you maybe seeing on the full plant) What the larger plants look like is normal yellowing of fan leaves for a budding plant
the leaf thing can be anything from fungal infections + mites of some sort + heat-light burn.

the one you labled MITE.jpg appears to be spider mites and that will not only zap the crap outta healthly plants but destroy the buds as they are now.

you sir are fucked, like a drunk chick at a phish concert.

nothins gonna save those plants, pull them up, and gratch the whole grow, then sanitize that area with bleach and the purifying fire of the god-emperor. also, drench the area with antifungals, miticides and insecticides

youll have to destroy ALL of your filters, clean your ducts fan blades, fan housings, all work surfaces, the ceiling, and any dark corners with a strong mix of bleach, then seal up all cracks and crevices with expanding foam.

when thats done, get a big sponge (the sort used to wash grout in tile setting) soaked in cheap gin (neat, no twist, no rocks) and wash every inch of your wallas again. then let it dry thoroughly before you put another cannabis plant into your little shop of horrors.

I'm so sorry that this is happening.... it can and is devastating... as the good Dr. said, the level of infestation you have is absolutely catastrophic. I am amazed that your cola's are not cocooned in webbing at this point. The over fertilization weakened your plant to the point where it could not resist the mites to any degree... and what you see is the result. Pyrethrum and neem sprays as well as systemic cures work very well, but we as indoor growers have to be hyper vigilant when it comes to both cleanliness and attention. Everytime you go into your room your hands and clothes should be absolutely clean! You should turn your fan leaves and search them daily for signs of mites, eggs, or white spots caused by the feeding mites.

If you follow the doctors orders your next grow should be fine... just make sure to keep the temps down... the airflow up, and the neem flowing.

godspeed
