Are these Containers to Small?

I have five critical plus clones that are about a foot or more tall in 5"x5"x5" square pots. I going to have these in ebb&flow system. Now I want to keep them in the pots so I can move them around. I'm starting 12/12 Sunday which will be for seven weeks. Do guys think I should leave them in or put them in some other medium?

I hvve 4x4 RW cubes with perlite underneath. I have a ton of hydrotron, but I do not like it.
That sounds fine... they are going to be topheavy because the media you are using is so light. I remedy this by putting some medium sized river rock in the bottom of the container. Or.. you can just tie them up, though that takes away from the mobility of the pots. :\

I like the riverrock idea. Things are not going as plan. I think I introduced to much change at once.

I actually am ending with 5x5x6 inch pots (pretty much started my girls in them as well) and I was told by a knowledgeable hydro grower that hydroponically grown plants don't need to worry so much about root binding (or having to transplant into larger pots or whatever).

I also chose to layer my chosen mother plant (started and vegged in the same 5x5x6 rw slab) on top of hydroton and I kind of wish I hadn't messed with it so much. Granted the roots have grown out past the original pot and into the hydroton I placed underneath but I'm thinking that had I left the plant as is in the original 5x5x6 pot she still would have been just fine. This is based on the fact that my girls are way beyond the recommended pot sizes of soil plants in puny containers (ie. 1 gallon pot sizer per foot of vertical growth) and with absolutely no sign of harm. Growth seemed up to par up until the usual mid flowering with bud production not noticeably effected by pot size whatsoever.

Keep in mind this *is* my first grow but I'm basing this on comparative pictures of similar wattage lamps of other growers here and number of days under 12/12.

whats up enco..just wanted to give my input...i rock the 5x5x6" in my ebb n flow tables, and they are plenty big enough to handle ur plants...i grow 15" to 18" plants in them, no prob....im actually thinking about going down to 4x4x5" pots...my homey did this, and still got the exact same results out of his plants....and the +side is instead of 24 plants per tray, it gives me room for around 30plants per tray....so the next tray i put in, ill be running the 4x4s....hope this helps ya....ganja
