Are these guys soldier flies ? Came in with the commercial compost.

Hi everyone,

Posted earlier with some issues that were resolved thanks to this awesome communities feedback.

I am noob here, on my first run. Going for indoor with LEC315 and a cob setup (450w). Using 5 gal material pots with commercial organic compost, I've got lots of little flies hopping around from the compost, they're sticking to the fly strips I'm using but they don't seem to be letting up. There's no end to them.

I have two questions if possible.

1) What the heck are these guys ?
2) what's the best way to stop them organically ?

1. Hard to identify without pics.
2. If they look like anorexic fruit flies, they could be fungus gnats, but again, need pics to be sure.
