may i suggest going for a higher wattage. instead of going for 3watt chipsets try 10/25/50/75/100watts and dont use anything under 3w chipsets as it doesnt have the penetration.

example http://www.ebay.ca/itm/2014-Big-eyes-2pcs-400W-LED-Grow-Light-Lamp-Panel-Indoor-UFO-Hydroponic-System-/261323952833?pt=US_Hydroponics&hash=item3cd81f12c1&_uhb=1 .

^ give lux/lumen, chipset brand, hanging distance, power/power use, spectrum, operating conditions, hanging cords, proper plug, 2 year warrenty. you want at least this much info

You are more likely to get good advice in the led light section. First take a look at the sticky up top in that section that's meant for newbys to leds. If you aren't careful, you can really waste your money so take a little time before you spend your hard earned dough.

Im using an ebb and flow system 12 bucket of 5 litter. To maximise my yeild what kind the led system would you suggest fort less the 2k of light or the smartest way

I have 4 plants under 400 watts in veg only so far and they are doing great they love the light. To be honest i haven't tried flowering yet i will im going to be making videos weekly of my grow. But i can tell you there one of the few people in ebay that are selling led direct and getting 100 percent feedback. The shipping amazing im in California and i got them in 2 days.

Go with grow evolution.

http://www.growevolution.com/lights/bud-boss-343/

5 of them for under 2500 and free shipping. Theyre good quality and have discount codes to get even more off.

Those ebay panels have 1000w worth of chips on them but probably make a max of 500w of light because theyre all dimmed to keep heat down.

The grow evolution 343 is just that 343w drawn.

I got 3 of the 305w panels to replace my cmh/hps system and love em so far! Went form using 1000w+ in just lights/ballasts and now im using 915w and about half as many fans to keep everything cool. When summer comes around im assuming ill use about half as much AC to keep it cold. I used to have to set my AC a few degrees below what i wanted the room to be. So if i wanted it to be 75 i had to set the AC at around 72. This upcoming year i shouldnt have to do this.

check out my LED journal in my sig for results haha.

first off. you know the yields your getting off those hps. you will not be happy with the led light. I strongly suggest buying 600 hortilux high out put. hps. I get more yield then I did off 1000 watt hps from sun master and digilux . your only hitting 600 vs 1000 but the light will be a lot closer. 3 600 will save you 1200 watts. and that's 70 bucks less a month if your paying 16c a kilowatt like I am. so your paying 172 dollars now. that's not bad ? what are you using I veg ? what usually kills the electric is people running mh 24 hours a day or the ac. good web site for you to learn what equipment cost to run. its 100 % correct. http://www.rapidtables.com/calc/electric/electricity-calculator.htm I wish I only had to pay 200 a month . fucking paying never under 900

The whole 'yields are better with HPS than LEDs' is a bunch of bullshit by people who do not know what they are talking about. Make sure you get quality product which this deal you're looking at does not appear to be. First of, if 5 of those is 1000W then it looks like they are 1w diodes which are too weak to do much good. Go for at least 3w diode systems. Secondly, I would never advocate buying anything from ebay, not everything on ebay is crap but many things are and you would usually not find out until you get it. And also I'm a bit skeptical that there is no details about the product. The brand 'Queenshiny' doesn't have any real reviews and if you google it you will find links to a bunch of crap for sale on ebay and amazon from lights to mink coats to other unrelated crap. Looks shady.

I've only used Diamond Series XML 350W LEDs, I would highly recommend those (they are $999 each from the maker) but I also hear good things about SolarStorm and Magnum Plus2.

Just as an example, here are a couple of photos from my grow/off between my 350W XML and 1000W HPS (you can tell which is which by the color, lol):
DSC_1581.jpg and DSC_1582.jpg - the two grew at the same time, same nutes from the same res, same everything with the exception of the lights.

* It's two 350W XMLs vs one 1000W HPS

the one you looked at on ebay is rated to last only 50k hours. that's like 1.5 years. looks like a cheap knockoff to me. for a 1000w led you should be paying more than that it seems. my advice is as the others. go w/ a highend manufacturer and you'll pay more but if the thing breaks they'll back you up.

I'm getting similar results from an Area 51 SGS 160 as I did from a 400W HPS, but my environment is only 3x3. I would guess that three or the new A 51 lights would provide siimlar coverage as a 1K W HPS but at a pretty high cost around 1800 bucks for the three lights. Would take a while to get a return on saved electricity.

For me it was all about temps, soooo easy to keep heat and temps in check with LED's.
