Are these too short?

Hey, this is my first grow...ever. I've got six NL plants from feminized seeds. All into 4th week of veg today. Home made top drip using PlantLife Products Holland Secret 3 part formula. I follow the directions on the bottles. Also use their B+. I have a dual output pump with two 6" air stones in the tank. Roots are stained from the B+ I think, it's not rot or light exposure. And last of all, I'm using a 400w digital ballast with MH bulb 18:6 for veg, and will be using a hps 12:12 for flower. Any idea whether these should be this short or not? There are A LOT of nodes in there on each of them. If this isn't normal, why? And any suggestions for better nutes for NL? I'm thinking of using AN. Also, PH is solid at 5.9, and don't have a ppm meter yet.

i switched mine at 5 weeks from germ and wish i did sooner. depends on your vertical height limit. also very strain dependant and NL is a pure indica so it will be shorter than most ones you see

These are on week 5 since germ. Just wondering if they are a bit short for their age. They are otherwise very healthy. The tallest one (at the back in the middle) is 13" tall. How tall will these get?

they look good to me.. as stated above, different strains will have different growth characteristics, indica's tend to be shorter and sativa's tend to be taller...

how tall you want them before flowering depends on how much room you have, but the bigger they are before the flip, the bigger the yield you will get at the end of the day...

My Hydro never seemed to stop verticle growth. I think they can grow anywhere from 2-3x height after flipping.

Yes, i went 2 weeks in grow(from 4" starts), and bushed out too much for the space i have. And i only have 4 plants(i have 5, but the one is a runt/lolypop). I trimmed 4-6 lower branches before flower, and still too much vegitation.
