Btw you don't have to start Autos in their final pot, that's another hippie myth. Seedlings like and do better in smaller pots like Solo cups for start and then transplant to their final home, I start in 2 inch container to 6 inch container to 3 gallon container and I've had no problems with the freebie Autos I've grown

Those are fine, man. It takes 3 weeks to have something I'd even call a plant. Mine are in solo cups the first 3 weeks. It takes about that long for the leaves to get as wide as the cup. Then they start growing faster and bigger the next few weeks. That's where they gain the majority of their size: weeks 4-6. I've noticed also that it takes longer for them to gain height when you plant in large containers. Also, 100 watts is plenty enough for what you got going on there, but you're going to need much more than that shortly. I think you could probably grow 1 plant with a 100 watt fixture to completion, but I sure wouldn't want to.

Thanks for all the support! So I'll drop the light for nownand start looking for a better light. Does anyone have any recommendations for something in the sub $200 range?

I’m in Michigan too. They make hps lights of all wattage. Here lately I’ve been enjoying cmh but they’re out of the range your set. You want about 50 Watts per sqft.

What are the dimensions. If its 2x2 110w of blurple could work for a start. Don’t just jump into buying a new light.

Do a partial harvest at the end, see if you are satisfied with the yields and the end product. If not, you can go with a better light. Do your research in the meantime.

15.75x8.38x2.36. I've seen vidoes of people using cheaper LEDs with good results. It's only like $140 and I can sell the one I have. Thought?

Oh if you’re gonna fill that space, yeah 100 watts is not gonna give satisfactory results. I suggest quantum boards or a diy cob fixture if you’re a little bit handy.

I'm only looking to do 3 plants at a time, max. Are those options in my price range? (Thanks again for the advice/time)

Well i put together a 18 cxb1830 fixture that pulls 500ish watts from the wall (these are cobs). With drivers, holders, cables, heatsinks, led chips and all, it cost me 250. Keep in mind i live in a different country than yours and when look at the same chips from mouser, i see they are priced at 50% higher than what i paid. But in either case, yeah if you’re handy, you can get a fixture of about 250watts and maybe more with that price range.
Also there are qbs at that ranges, check HLG’s site or look up on amazon.
