Are these too stalky?

Hi guys these are about 8 days old since sprouting from the soil, I'm currently waiting on a par meter to arrive to get the correct light distance and dimming for each stage.

Are my lights too high atm? First grow so unsure if these are stretching abit much.

Thanks!

They may bend/break without some support if they stretch much further. I'd be tempted to transplant before that happened even though they're still tiny.
Do you think Maybe packing the top with abit more soil will help? They are only a week old I'd rather not transplant them so quick as it might shock the fuck out of them

Way stretched ….. besides take “ any “ light hanging information with a grain of salt … it is merely a guide.
Your plants response to the light and distance are what is best.

What light system are you using ?

Transplant those cups into a larger container , bury elongated stems in medium . By doing so , that gooseneck of a stem will root out laterally. Seedlings are in “ rooting “ stage , not the time to screw things up.

No …

You are already introducing a “ stressor “ by having them stretch to get to suitable light.

Ok I'll transplant today and bury stem how much stem should I leave out?
DON’T transplant move them closer to the light and get either some tooth picks or something you can hold them up or tie up so you can get some air blowing on them with out blowing them over

They are moving around fine with a fan lightly moving over them so you recommend to not transplant? I'm leaning towards the same as they are so damn young

Let’s see the light … is it led , blurple or what.

Most seedlings can be at 20-24” … flouro lamps you can be hell of lot closer. Sometimes within inches .
No toothpicks or crutches . You can boost the rooting of buried stem by a light dusting of rooting powder around it as you transplant.
IF running a simple bagged potting soil mix , let that do the initial feeding upfront. Plant will become accustomed to its new home and not be overwhelmed by additional crap dumped on it at this point.

Since solo cup growing at this point kind of floundered, you can still get it to root out appropriately by burying exposed stalk.
Even a light Foliar of silica ( armorSI ) will boost the cellular strength and growth up front.

Ridiculously easy fix on your end.

It's dimmable anyway
I know that no one likes to be told that their 450w light isn't really a 450w light but just the same, these plants aren't getting enough light and a 450 even if you've dimmed it would crisp these right up even at a good distance. Many companies' market stuff by adding a zero. Especially older blurple style lights. I know this because my 222w Quantum bombed the eff out of my seedlings even when at a height greater than the recommended 24".
