They don't look burnt. Maybe the smell is just coming from the plants cuz they are growing.

yeh man those are healthy looking plants. I wondered the same thing when i started cause every time I would walk into the area where my tent is I would smell Earth and Leaves... so I became concerned about the light (400w mh/hps system) cooking things. Don't fret mate its just the natural smell the plants and soil (if you're using soil) produces. I've grown to enjoy it. Smells like Life :)

Toke On brothers.

good stuff lads much appreciated wasnt to sure i have just switched them over from veg two days ago dont want them gettin to big for the space there in would it be a good idea to trim them after a week or two flowering or would i be better to just let them do their thing

Do not trim once the flowering begins. They should have about a week or so of stretching and should double the size they are now. Let them do their thing and they will fill out nicely. The smell will only get stronger though.

no bothers :) i wont be messing with them at all so. ah i dont mind the smell as long as its not somthing harming the babys im happy i will put up pics every two weeks just so i can be sure everytin is goin to plan.

27 degrees C is NOT going to burn your plants. NOT even the slightest. I agree with Hillcrest on this one. I don't think I could have said it better than he/she did.

If you are getting a funky burning smell, I would start checking other things.........skip the plants, they're good.
