Are voltage regulators necessary??

This is a double post... I need answers fast.. Do you need to use a voltage regulator when running a 1000w electrical ballast with its own external breaker to protect against power surges

Why would you need to surge protect the surge protection? Breaker on the building, breaker on the ballast, Think your covered.

Do all households have breakers tho?.. I have this problem where my ballast burnt a brand new bulb an will not switch o. Now, everything is still under warranty

I came home to find lights off during lights on period, found this, and ballast don't work anymore making me think the breaker blew?

*after I changed the bulb and tried to switch it on the lights tripped, I waited 30min tried again, no trip but no lights,, so I used the neighbour's power to see, plugged to their 40amp for their stove and still nothing

what is your power? 230V at what Hz? 50 or 60?

on your ballast, it should have incoming power on the label.

what is your ballast exactly?

and what does the label on it say for incomiing power
across your plug, you should read 230V give or take a few.

i would bet it's not your power but your ballast instead.

that's good.

did you ever plug your ballast in to the wall without a bulb in the socket?

and to be clear, this is a 1000 watt hps ballast and you have a 1000w hps bulb too?
I have never plugged in without a bulb, and yes a 1000w ballast with 1000w bulb.. When I first got the ballast the MH light they gave flickered, so I used the hps for 2weeks before they replaced it, I decided to use the dual ark since it's an autoflower strain and after 3days give some.. Bam
