Agree that the kids running the register are incredibly stupid, but what really ticks me off is that when you point out their mistake, instead of apologizing they get mad! I took an online course last year from the local community college on the New Testament ( I'm an atheist, but I like to study comparative religions) We got to see other students papers and critique them, most of the students were recent hi skool grads and were basically illiterate. They couldn't spell,(even with spell checker) couldn't write a coherent sentence, and couldn't reply to the proper topic. How did they ever graduate high school?
This isn't new.

Both of my folks taught freshman English composition at the local University and I remember they would occasionally hand me term papers to grade.

This was almost 40 years ago, I was 12, and it was already obvious that I could write better than most of them could.

Some things never change...

Curious about your instructor's responses to the hi skool kids' poor writing skills? Did he/she try to help, or did they not really care? I hear from my pals in higher ed that they can't teach students the shit they're supposed to know by the time they get to college, so they don't even try. In other words, institutions designed to teach thinking aren't doing in at the levels they were 15-20 years ago.

TTy, this speculation I'm making involves policy, technology, education, and economics. On that latter aspect, what jobs will be the ones that most people have in the next 15 to 30 years? Service industry jobs--which are becoming more and more automated. And as more and more automation hits these jobs, the less thinking will be required to perform them. Then people will go home after work, get on their devices so they won't have to think at home either.

Yes, I'm a grumpy old man. I've become that way because I've had all this time in the past 25 years to see how stupid Americans have become and there's nothing I can do about it.
Americans do not have a monopoly on stupidity.

What is the purpose of your pompous grandstanding?

And this is why you are on ignore.
Not sure why I clicked "show ignored content". I knew whatever you had to say would be both ignorant & irrelevant, but I just had to look.
My bad. o_O

It's ok to be curious. Just try not to forget Ttystick is much much smarter than all of us. His parents both worked at the local university don't you know?

That of course gives him Rocket Surgeon level intelligence. Lol.

Ddipstikk has become more bitter in recent months.

Gee, I wonder why... :dunce:

I guess he had a lapse in his genius level brain when he invited the cops in without a warrant.

Or when he knew his neighbors could smell his Grow and continued to trim without a carbon filter nearby.

Or maybe not complying before the cops came back to inspect.

Wait! Maybe he isn't a genius???

Tell that to the woman whose scan was rechecked by ai and found that it could be treated by a treatment her radiologist missed, unfortunately it was too late. Can't find the link to that one.
This link shows image scanning for predicting lifespan comparable to human analysts.
https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2017/06/170601124126.htm The article says they aren't going to replace radiologists but its coming. At the minimum computers will process a huge number and radiologists will simply review them.

And I thought you had a firm grasp on the English language (most of the time).

Seriously, what is the purpose of this thread?
To bitch about how stupid everyone else is, thus making yourself look superior?

Not buying it... :dunce:
My comment above stands on its own merits.

If the shoe fits?

He was out of compliance then invited the police into his home -- without a warrant?
Come on, even ddipstikk isn't *that* dumb.

Right...?

What has my post got to do with cannabis? Science daily is an aggregate source, they print many science articles from universities around the world. They don't write articles. Here are some favorable to pot.
https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2016/11/161116102847.htm
https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2009/04/090401181217.htm
https://www.google.com/url?q=https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2017/04/170424152537.htm&sa=U&ved=0ahUKEwi58PDInYfVAhVMAcAKHU4rBw8QFgg-MBM&client=internal-uds-cse&usg=AFQjCNGVwv-MrbXmovasXGNaaMWAqG9t6Q

But you do raise a point I never realized, the majority of the articles are anti pot. The website covers a wide variety of subjects, they don't judge whether or not a study is true they just post it. Conflicting studies in all subjects are posted all the time. I don't care if you don't believe that AI can outperform humans or not. They said that a computer could never beat a human at chess, debunked. Computers could never beat a champion Jeopardy player debunked. Well they said, a computer could never beat a world class Go player because the comp couldn't brute force analyze all the moves, debunked.

He has a thread explaining all of this. He is the important activist playing his important part in police relations he said in explanation.

Pretty sure I am remembering this right.

bro, leave it alone.nobody should find pleasure with any grower getting nabbed on this site.no matter how much you dislike them.
you seem to have a lot of members on ignore.sure its not you?

Did you read his self promoting egotistical thread about his experience?

Growers should know not to let cops in before they are ready. And not to talk to them at all if possible.

There are 11 "members" on my ignore list.
Mostly sock puppets, so probably 2 or 3 individuals.
Are you stalking me?
