Welcome to my first grow log (2nd grow). I've decided to make a grow log to hopefully entertain some people, but also to receive advice from experienced growers. My previous grow was kinda just to dip my toes into cultivation and see what it was like. I grew a small White Widow from Bulldog (not good genetics), had plenty of beginner's mistakes, and most importantly learned from it all. This time I'm back and am ready to raise the bar.
Chamber: Secret Jardin DarkRoom 60 2'x2'x4.6' (60cm x60cm x140cm)View attachment 2899096(sorry for it being sideways)
Lighting: I'm ordering my Area 51 XGS190 tomorrow, and that will take some time for it to reach me. I will be runnig the xgs190 at 130w function I have already started the grow, so I will be continuing to use my Secret JArdin Tneon 2x75w ( Like this but 2x75w http://secretjardin.com/en/secretjardin-lighting/tneon-secretjardin.html) Don't love these lights, but I'll have to use them until I get the Area 51.
Strains: View attachment 2899098 the left is Holy Grail Kush (DNA Genetics), which germinated a little before the right one.
the right is another story. I was germinating different seeds and then forgot which i stuck in that cup, because there were originally 3 cups. The right one most likely Hawaiian Snow (Greenhouse), and if it's not that, it is Pineapple Express (DNA). Since HS is a heavy sativa, after some time we'll be able to tell which strain it is. If it is indeed the sativa, i will most definately have to train it to stay as short possible.
Grow Medium: Coco coir + perlite (about 70% coco 30% perlite)
Nutrients: View attachment 2899097 So far this is what I plan on using. Pacha Mama Grow and Bloom (Organic), Rootbastic, and Bud Candy for early flowering. I'm probably going to be ordering some Calcium+Magnesium since I am going coco. Recommendations are welcome, since I'm fairly new to growing, and especially coco.
Containers: they are currently seedlings in little cups (Actually old plastic pill bottles with drainage holes cut in), but once ready i will transplant them into 11L pots (just under 3gal)
Ventilation: I have an intake and exhaust which are cheap inline fans which run about 105cfm. They don't do much, but a little is better than nothing, i think =P I also have a homemade carbon filter ( aluminum can with holes, inside a panty hose, which contains come active carbon). Also i have a little homemade CO2 generator from yeast and sugar. Not sure if it works amazing, but it was cheap and easy to make, and I don't think it can do any harm.
Light Schedule: Currently in a 18:6 photoperiod. I plan to veg for about 6 weeks, or however long it takes to "fill" my screen. Then it will be 12:12 obviously for flowering. The Holy Grail Kush has an average flowering time of 9 weeks, and Hawaiian snow has to flower for much longer, about 11 weeks. So I plan to harvest the HGK once milky, and let the other flower out.
So yeah, its just starting out now, and I'm excited for this grow. My goal yield is 100g, just because...=P
Sorry to disappoint you guys that it's not starting with LED, but once i receive my light, it will be immediately installed.
So for anyone who will be interested enough to follow along, or just stop by momentarily, I'm completely open to hear your opinions, recommendations, or comments.
