Ding Ding!might be unhappy with the development on the outskirts... but a 400 watt certainly wont cover a 3x3 fully either. id go with two of them and you will have nice even results and much better than 400 watts of hps in that area. starting with one and seeing what you think isnt a bad idea

well i did a little research, this dude used the 400x, which is 350w actual draw. I was thinking of getting the 400 which is 250w draw at first...the reviews say its good for a 3x3 but hell for the same price you can get the two 180's lol..ill be honest, im in the market for my first led fixtures as well. not familiar with the pro-grow though, have you seen some decent results from growers using them? sounds like two would be good for the area based purely on wattage but we all know how much that can mislead us!
I have owned both companies and bet the 51 wiould give a pro grow 400 a run for its money, or watts...
my pro grow 180s/260 are now DIYs with my old area 51 models (2012 "apollo" styles), kept my SGS intact.
I would use a 3x3 space, but use all 2.5x2.5' I could. do you train much?
