I'm not using any additives so I'm not sure. Just the base.Looks great gk, from my understanding after being on the an website , you can't mix the sensi ph perfect with additives from other companies for the "ph to stay perfect" . Do you know if there is any truth to this??
Well when it's cold outside even with the house kept at 70 I have to use a heater using a 4" inline with it turned all the way down on the controller to keep about 79. If it's warm outside I with the same indoor temp I can maintain 77 without the heater.Looks really good. I'm about to purchase the new area 51 that is coming out. I'm coming from a 400 watt hps and doing so to reduce heat. Can you tell me how hot that led light heats the room up?
That is correct, you cant mix the old AN additives in it either. If you add bud blood or scorpion juice etc to php it will fuck the ph up so you either have to use the new php additives or just deal with the ph changes, no biggie either way, biggest change iv seen is with silicas, rhino skin may not be the best silica additive but swap it out for protekt or something better and you will be chasing your ph all over the place. It works great when used as directed, not so great when you add stuff thats not compatible. I havent needed my ph pen for a year n a half growin n hempys.Looks great gk, from my understanding after being on the an website , you can't mix the sensi ph perfect with additives from other companies for the "ph to stay perfect" . Not to highjack this thread about nuts but Ive been using AN for years and I mix and match various other additives with no issue, however when everything seems the same I opt for AN additives just for consistency. As I understand the way PH perfect works is that it chelates the nutrients making them available to the plant at a wider PH range rather than makes your PH perfect. The only problems Ive had with AN is when I used a PH pen and didnt trust the PH perfect and kept adjusting it anyway. Pro tip, swap GreatWhite for tarantula, voodoo juice, AND piranha to save TONS of cash. That is correct, you cant mix the old AN additives in it either. Are you using pH perfect? I'd say it for sure makes the pH perfect. You can't really manipulate hydrogen potential and I tested both with my cheap ass milwaukee pen and a $3500 meter from work, both said 5.8. I have not adjusted anything just add to my RO water and good to go. I think if I use anything it will be either the big bud or bud candy. Have another buddy that uses their 3 part pH perfect and bud candy and swears it makes it smell and taste a lot better, though I haven't been able to atest to that. Says it may increase yield a little but more on smell and flavor side. Not to highjack this thread about nuts but Ive been using AN for years and I mix and match various other additives with no issue, however when everything seems the same I opt for AN additives just for consistency. I'm sorry I honestly can't say, this is my first round with an LED for flower. I'm feeding like I normally would under an HPS basically. So every 2 days when the coco is ready I mix up the SENSI according to the feed schedule. 16ml/gal each.gk, have you noticed that you need to feed any heavier with the XGS? I have a critical kush that I've grown few times under the cree A19's and it seems to need a heavier feed under the XGS. Must be the intensity, under the A19's it could grow right up to the bulb without damage.
Yeah it's working great for the little girls. But you are going to laugh when I tell you where it came from.... LOL I had a giftcard from wal-mart with some money still left on it and so I bought one of their great value daylight 5000K PAR38 leds. No effin clue what's in it. All I know is it's work for what needs to be going on in that small space since I'm going to keep bonsai moms and don't need crazy veg growth for rotations. Though still this 17W is doing a little too much for what I need. LOL The bigger plants have been topped or growth shoots removed 2-3 times each so far.Certainly getting frosty in there....that 17 watt is sufficient for the little guys huh? You have a link to where you got it?
Nothing wrong with that lol i have a walmart pretty close by....and I need a little light just for clones and that should do the trickYeah it's working great for the little girls.
