Arizona Outdoor Grow ?

Nice Alctrz8849! Yours look several weeks ahead of mine for flowers. When this is all harvested and put away this fall I'm gonna try one in a pot. Leave it under a little grow light inside a d take out during the day. Let it get 2 or three feet tall and then leave it outside to flower. Just kind of a experiment to see how it will do.
Sweet! I'll be excited to see how it turns out! I've been dreaming of building a greenhouse one day and utilizing the sun AND grow lights so I can grow outdoors year around without the need for any autos. One day...

What kind of light are you going to use indoors for this grow? Also curious to the size of pot you'll be using. I just wonder how cumbersome it's going to get moving around but I like the idea of using grow lights and the sun!

That greenhouse sounds like a great year round plan. The light wont be anymore than a grow bulb in a lamp to keep light on it when the sun goes down. Probably just a small pot, 3 gallonish. I just want to explore the concept a bit of growing outside in the winter here. Not trying for any real big harvest, just to see what happens.

Looks good @Fireman57!!

Hey would anyone be interested in starting a local AZ club here for support & comradery? RIU is great but you don't get the same support as you do in a club with people you know or meet. I figure we could meet up locally by city once per month and discuss whatever is needed from problems in our grows to new products or helping each other out if one of us goes on vacation! I love connecting with everyone on here but I would also love a local chapter that is focused on specific needs of that group & area!

Whatcha guys think? Would anyone be interested?
Good idea, a southern arizona homegrowers association or some such.

Some of my outdoor grow. First attempt. Hardest part was the spring wind. Windstorm wiped out most of my early plants and I had to start again.

Little night time shot. Getting heavy and thick. No orange pistles yet. I'm guessing three more weeks? Any veteran Arizona outdoor growers here? If so when are your plants about done here?

Its strain dependent usually and not all strains grow well outdoors here, October we start to lose precipitation (the little we have). My experience, as long as you keep the ground at proper moisture levels and try to keep dust to a minimal, the ladies love the intensity of the sun.
:peace:

From the looks of it shes going to need more than 3 weeks. The calyxes don't seem to be swelling yet. Generally once calyxes start to swell it takes about 2-3 weeks to be ready to harvest.
