Arjan's Ultra Haze #1 - popcorn smoke test

and it is nice!

at 10 weeks flwr (out of projected 13), with vaping it's already very cerebral, chill, and long lasting...
very pleasant sweetness, but not too candy.

here's how the trichomes are looking (200x, phased darkfield) on the bit of popcorn i sampled:

Great picture! What would you say the stage your trichomes are at? I'll definitely be watching this thread as I'm about a week or two away from my own projected harvest of satviva & sativa dominant strains. I was going to get some Arjan's Haze #3, but it didn't work out that way. What stage of trichome ripening are you going to harvest at & are you going to harvest all at once or incrementally?

they're approximately 1/3(+) clear, 1/3(+/-) cloudy, and 1/3(-) amber (excluding dead, burnt, etc non-viable trichs).

here they are after having been vaped...




i'm really into this whole biodynamic thing these days, so i already know that i'm chopping the ultra haze on the solstice (which, happily coincidentally, aligns with the auh1's nominal harvest window of 13 weeks). the grow seems to be right on target for the 21st, so it'll be interesting to see how well the trich development coincides with the astronomical/lunar schedule (and indeed just how much merit there is to following a lunar calendar cycle [thun]). the smell has already been quite strong, even with the carbon scrubber running, so "sticky-icky" is the watchword around here.

i'll probably (err, most definitely!) be continuing to sample popcorn up until blackout and chop...
then we have to test it as it cures...
