As always, there's gonna be questions!

Nice find, those second ones will work. However, I do expect much less output than 3A, maybe 2.1-2.4A once warmed up, but there is only one way to find out maybe they will surprise us.

If you are really going to run hard, the fancier CPU coolers might be worth the few extra dollars over the standard models. Maybe your local guy has a few beastly heatsinks like those 150 watters for cheap.

That is a good question I wonder just how efficient they are? Probably varies depending on the load but might be worth checking into, thnx FJ.

Hey buddy, what temperature should I be aiming for on the heat sink? I see you talking about a Tj of 50Cish.... Is the quality of light diminished if I'm cooling the heatsink too much? Mine have been riding at roughly 70f (21C) with ambient air in the room at roughly 80f (27C), is that bad? They're literally cool to the touch (the heat sink), Should I turn down the fan that's attached?
What is the "perfect" temperature to run a cob at?

(If it matters, right now I'm running some Feit electric cobs that I gutted out of "screw-ins".... I run at 36v 750ma, the base attached driver provides 105ma and gets hot as fuck)

Hey FC. To get a Tj of 50C the heatsinks could be 25-35C if ambient is 20C. So if your ambient is 21C and you sinks are at 27C, that is excellent performance. There is nothing but good things that come from running cool, as long as you are not spending too much fan power to accomplish it.

If you are growing balanced hybrids, I think 3K is a good choice, although I have not tested it myself. Some DIYers are flowering with up to 4K. If you have a stretchy sativa dom, some extra blue in the first few weeks of flowering might be helpful.

All are mostly Indica dominant... I'm working towards my veros right now, but first I'm having fun with my Feit cobs! Cobs are a bit new to me so I don't want to dive in head first and sink $500+ and fnck a bunch of stuff up learning. I want a high quality panel that will last with out up grading or repairing every cycle, and I want SOME prior experience

Hello FC, if you have access to digikey, I believe the Vero10 would be cheaper and more efficient. Those drivers would work. The 15W is up to 50V and puts out 280mA. They are not dimmable by adjusting current, so they might flicker when dimmed.
