I'm used to nutrient rich soil grows where everything usually works out for itself. The only reason I grabbed mg is from every where I read the plants main source of food during veg is nitrogen, this has 24%... Also because commercial farmers recommend a powder versus the liquid fert because you get way more value for your money. I personally love my plants and want them to be healthy so I'm willing to buy new fert from my hydro store today. Will I still need the co cali solution ? Should I change their water again immediately or they will be fine in the mg for another week?
Correct. There are tons of ways to be successful. I am just sharing my version of success. Botanicare is very cheap when if comes to veg, but it gets a little spendy in bloom when they are drinking 5 gal of water a day and changing nutes every 2 weeks.
if you want an easy, dry nute here ya go:
Lucas Formula using General Hydroponics Dry Nutrients (Maxibloom)
MaxiBloom and MaxiGro are dry nutrient also from General Hydroponics. It turns out, Maxibloom, used in a ratio of 7 grams per gallon of water*, is very close to the original Lucas Formula (above.) You do not need MaxiGro, and so this is the cheapest and easiest recipe to use.

Add 7 grams of Maxibloom into 1 gallon of water*, and then adjust the pH, and stir vigorously to dissolve the Maxibloom in the water. I advise putting the 7g of Maxibloom into a cup of warm water, dissolving it, and then adding it to the remaining gallon of water, before pH adjusting and mixing again.
I have heard good things...

East abswer: Nutrient Splash when feeding plants, because the affected leaf is low and some times water splash's up on lower leavces

Your fine for now....At res change drop the dose of MG by half AT LEAST......12 - 4 - 8 is better and I would be more inclined to cut that in half to 6 - 2 - 4 so it would be 1/4 the label amount to water per gallon of water if it was me...

Sure other things might work better but, why spend more now.....Cut back to 1/4 strength at 6-2-4 and you can alsways add more if needed.

Many people will say "This is what I do and it works great, you should too"...

Nah, learn to use what ya got, so IT works. Then move on if you like! Besides, your water is not his water, your temps are not his temps, OR RH or maybe you'll use a different supplement......You will NOT get the same results he did, "doing it his way"......Close but, no cigar...

quick question fellas. Should I give it a few days of fresh water with under 50 ppms for like two days in between feeding? Or is flushing not necessary? Going to change the water tonight plants dont look too receptive to the mg. Some Tips of leaves curling up on the healthier one D:! Too much nitrogen?

24hr flush with low EC 5.8 water is all you need. any longer, and you can start starving them. just start back with a lighter feed and move up in strength as long as they look good.

Gotta ask, What are you using as a Mg? How much are you adding?

You should run a Ca/Mg in hydro......You must run it if you use RO water.

not really with Lucas formula. i only add cal/mg when plants are really small and i'm not at close to full strength nutes. when i get up to 1.0 to 1.2 EC, cal/mg not needed.
Never been a fan of the Lucas formula.....It works to grow the plant but, I feel you can't reach plant potentials with it!
Better growth rates and better results with other styles of nutrient use and better balanced ratio's.

I mean come on. Even the Lucas website shows it's a short cut...

Lucas formula, in my book, is for low budget needs or cheapskates..

Sorry if you don't like that! My 2 cents.
