But they aren’t giving out new products to sample without testing which is what I think they were implying. Are the products really overpriced? I spent $550 last year when they were on sale and I’ve already had 6 harvests this year with it. And I still have enough to get me past December with ease. If I’m spending less than $100 per harvest that seems pretty reasonable

Yes that's extremely overpriced.

I’m hoping the wisdom was with them when they put their formula together.
I see their pro line shows 3.0ec from start to finish.. then says something along the lines of feed as needed. Some cultivars may differ in handling higher ec feeds.. etc

i think lucas formula says it's good from S to F too but it's way too high EC IMO. they are in the business of sales after all

$100 in nutrients will last me a few years. That's with a 2x4 veg tent, a 4x4 flower tent and 3 harvests. I'm fiddling around outdoors in the summer with organics so I don't use any purchased nutrients for that grow.

Their core is basically just calcium nitrate with a few micronutrients and is listed on their site at $200 for 25 lbs. I can get a 50 pound bag of calcium nitrate for $40 and a 25 pound bag of Jacks 5-12-26 for $50 and have a complete fertilizer. That's less than half the price to make 50 lbs of a nutrient mix. If you want to add some more P/K at flower then a 5 lb bag of MKP for $30 and it's still much cheaper and you'll have enough calcium nitrate and MKP to mix with another $40 bag of the 5-12-26. So yes their nutrients are expensive. I won't call them overpriced because they're still cheaper than most cannabis specific nutrients and if they can get the prices they charge then why shouldn't they charge what they do. I have nothing against businesses making money.

I just think what they have on their samples page and what they do themselves is at odds. They chastise other companies for doing the same things they are doing.

The stores here sell the 25 lb bags for $125, but I wait until they have the 50% off sale. Peters is definitely cheaper and is an awesome product as well. My only problem with peters is that I have burned my plants before when trying steer towards vegetative growth

Fertilizer prices are all over the map depending on location. Some places shipping is more than the product. All a grower can do is get what's available and provides what the plant needs. Brand is not very important. Many put too much importance on brand or think a brand is some special elixir. All a fertilizer needs to do is provide macro and micronutrients. Most of those are coming from the same factories. Different brands just mix them differently.
