attic needs growing lights

Hello, i have an attic with a secret loft that you can step into, i need help deciding on what lights to use up there and how i should wire them. like can someone give me a list of lights i can use just using an extension cord? i could wire the extension cord threw the hole and hang the lights on the roof. Also its cool up there, no bugs that i am aware of and its nice and dark in there so the light will travel fast? I am new to the "lighting" part of growing indoors. someone experienced with a good safe idea try and help me ? thanks : D

If this is your own place, best to start with insulating that room. It's gonna get hot from inside and out. If you don't have a way to keep it cool, it'll be a wasted effort.
