I agree with the stealth! I have had some fun with the Attitude's stealth shipments over the years. Once in a while you get something really lazy and boring, but that's unusual. I remember emailing them one time when I couldn't find the seeds, but since then I just disassemble the package piece by piece to find them. The add on options, like the "leather" option are definitely worth trying at least once as well, very entertaining. I think the last thing I ordered from Attitude was Karma's Biker Kush, and I'd certainly use them again for Karma gear if they had something that the domestic shops don't. But now domestic banks carry most of what I want, old school and landrace strains, and if I'm going to order from overseas it's more likely to be from India. I do have much love for Attitude though, going back probably 15 years? They've always done right by me.I've always had good luck with Attitude. The first time was in 2006, no issues. Again in other orders no issues. Once they were intercepted by customs and I got them replaced as I always use the stealth shipping. The last time I ordered was early this year. I used the stealth shipping and had a fuck of a time finding the seeds, it was an epic stealth shipment. I would still rather buy from the US but sometimes there are certain strains that can't be had over here.
I've had nothing but good luck with Attitude and I've ordered over the years from them. But anything international will have higher levels of scrutiny than any countries internal mail system. It just seems the way of the world these days. BTW you could order from Attitude in the USA if you wished to. I've ordered from them and got my order (just like all my UK orders) best of all it was much quicker.I order American now
Welcome! Try ordering from the American Attitude seedbank.i would have to agree with original poster. I live in an illegal state and did not pay for shipping from Attitude and got same email just recently that because I didnt pay for guaranteed shipping, ooop. I see that there are regular defenders of attitude on here and i dont know why. For them to hang with the pros in theyre peer group; seedsman, they need to get the seeds to customer, not play a game, for all we know the seed was never meant to reach customer, how hard is it to send out new seed? I ordered two lousy fem seed for 42$ Been getting burned playing the european game a lot lately. herbies dont want to send seed to same adress but wants my credit card info which they wont get. if they cant be real and send my sh%t shame on them. just what is going on in europe with these scammers? also I lost cash sent to another european scammer company, once received filched with no conciense. Id say shame on attitude for not having enough seed to replace, like a banker they can pretend to have more than they actually have maybe. like original poster I order American now cause I dont need the scam or lack of integrity for handled seeds with low germ rate, naww ill pass attitude
I can agree with this. Herbies does it as part of the standard price/shipping that you pay for. Not sure about guaranteed this or that, but their stealth has been really good.I have some level of disagreement with the idea that one should have to pay extra to be guaranteed to actually receive what they pay for. In the US at least, I'm thinking the seller is basically obligated to make sure customers aren't held responsible for anything that happens while still in transit. Seems like that should universally be on the seller. I'm wondering if the payment issuer may side with the buyer and issue a charge back for non-receipt.
Actually created an Attitude account fairly recently, and have a cart full of stuff I want. The cheapest guarantee option still doubles shipping to $25-ish, though, which definitely irks me.
Yet founding an entire business model on selling a product they know to be illegal in many places, but still double-charging customers to actually guarantee delivery, is admirable? Nonsense. I just don't agree with any circumstance where a buyer should pay a separate fee to not be shit outta luck if their package never arrives. And if the credit card company decides they agree and issue the charge back, not a damn thing 'weak' about that. Successfully using whatever paltry consumer protection policies that happen to be in place sounds more like a power move to me.Doing a chargeback because you cheaped out on shipping when u ordered something overseas that you know customs is looking for is weak.
they aren't being confiscated due to their legality, seeds are legal in the US.. They are being confiscated because there are rules about how to import seeds into another country to protect other countries from invasive species..Yet founding an entire business model on selling a product they know to be illegal in many places, but still double-charging customers to actually guarantee delivery, is admirable? At best, I think the choice to explicitly double-charge customers to ensure they receive their shipment shows poor business-savvy. Presumably, someone within the business has the sense to track the instances of Customs seizures and calculate roughly how much loss is likely to be incurred within any time period. Quietly factor that info into their general pricing equations; bump the prices up $.04/pack - or whatever it works out to - and look more like heroes for not charging a separate fee for customer peace of mind.
