I cure with finished product in my jars not leaves left on like some do.

I started manicuring some of the stuff I cut last week, last nite, and fark my scissors were clogged every couple of minutes!! Fingers sticking together etc, so I decided to do the rest while it’s wet so it’s easy.

Posted a photo of this ak47 a couple months back and she's setting nicely at the moment I'm guiding my mate and were going halves.



Any advice on nutes boys? We had an N tox in veg due to a heavy hand but she's bounced back well the past few weeks though she's still very dark green as you can see. My thoughts are to buy a bloom nute with very low N and just go from there? Think we should be fine doing that would just like to get others advice cheers hope everyone's having a lovely day

A couple of fan leaves is allowable but the difference between a wet and dry trim is really noticeable in the finished product

that looks good. its throwing a few hairs but that looks done enough to be super happy. some strains will keep popping pistils even when theyre done.

I find the cured smell and taste is nicer and true to the strain if its dry trimmed. I get the big fans off and leave everything else until theyve finished hanging. takes a bit longer to get to the point where you can jar em but I reckon its worth it

I trim in gloves now otherwise i have permanent hash stains on my fingers for months. Try keeping a spare set or 2 in some vodka or metho while your trimming and keep swapping them as they gum up,if you use vodka and let your scissors soak till the next day you end up with a nice hash infused cocktail.

Something about chlorophyll leaving too fast and getting trapped in the smell? If allowed to dry with leaves on the bud sucks moisture out of them prolonging the dry? Fuck knows that seems to be the explanation I've read a few times.

Like if you dry something in 2-3 days it'll probably smell like hay?

The leaf acts as a buffer against heat and light preserving the more volatile terps so you end up with more depth of flavour. It also helps you control the amount of moisture as you dry to prevent the buds from overdrying

If its too hot the outside of the bud will seal like when you are cooking steak and trap the moisture on the inside. That's why I use dehumidifiers when drying your not adding heat and you are drying for 24hrs a day rather than drying through the day then re absorbing moisture of a night

Oh ok! It does make sense. I guess the main reason I trimmed wet tho was because I was reading if you’ve had any mould threats or if RH is staying permenently above 80% to try and trim off as much leaf as possible before hanging. And last nite I couldn’t get the aircon to work cos it wasn’t cold enough for heat and wasn’t warm enough for cold so I was worried bout the 90% humidity. But I gave up at 3am anyway and hung most of it trimmed or not, so I’ll leave the rest and trim it later then, and I’ll def do the vodka trick coco thank you for the advice guys

We have ducted aircon that runs 24/7 so I hope that’s keeping humidity down even during the night. Last nite it just wasn’t playing ball tho.

I make this stuff up for a booster if I,m not doing organics it's good shit and costs a couple of dollars to make a litre of concentrate

69 grams of MonoPotassium Phosphate (MKP 52-34)
91 grams potassium sulfate
add to 840 grams distilled water

Works out at N 0 P 9 K 18 add about 2ml per litre
