It all depends on what kind of cross I want to make. For instance gth1 iid be looking for a strong branched sativa dominant male with a fuel smell and vigourous growth. With an indica I'd be looking for short stature very smelly stem rub .long fat side branches and early flowering. Coco has some really nice males at the moment. What's the genetics in Texas butter ?

Look for a short fat male with long side branches . great structure fat stems. Stem rub ,leave rub for the smell your after. I find males with fast growing lower side branches throw good outdoor plants with plenty of bud sites. I stay away from short branch males.

Have you been out site prepping yet?
Soils all done, spots are all cleaned up,half the cages made, digging the irrigation pipe in tomorrow and then I'll fill the big pots up at the end of the month and plant the cover crop. The other spot, maybe spots are on good dirt so will only need minimal soil prep and will be a hybrid conventional/organic grow which takes a bit of the prep work out.

what do I look for when selecting a male plant??? I wanna pick the best male Texas butter I get and put it over some of these clones I’m hoarding... coco, bob what do u guys look for??
The early flowering ones, anything that has wierd nodal spacing and any that look like males get chopped then look for good root growth, stem rub and structure till you flower them, then look at the floral clusters for shape, density and resin production.

Here are the 6 Texas butters two have very striped purple stems.... they are biggest, and most developed, stardawg leaner? I’d say that the small one with the different leaves is a female, stem rub on that little one is like unripe bananas and the others are kinda chem... maybe that small one is a banana og pheno, I might ask Gu on the greenpoint thread, fun to guess tho

The capsicum on the right has started to finish it's mediocre crop. The one on the left needs to be propped up... And has heaps more fruit on it. Still needing quite some time before they're done.

As you can see. There's a few sprouts of the old rainbow spinach that have grown from the roots I'd cut up. And another random tomato has sprouted.

Also the mint off to the side, seems to be liking it's new home too.
