i probably would have figured out the surface area of the hole in the end of the duct and figured out how many 20mm or larger holes i needed to equal the duct size. But if it works then there is no point i suppose

You made me go and count them..lolYou would be surprised how many holes you would need to match the duct size. Even with 20mm holes it would take 59 holes to match a 150mm duct
Like i said if its working yhen probably not an issue but its 590 6mm holes to match a 150mm duct sizeYou made me go and count them..lol
I have 107 6ml holes. How does that stack up mathematicly? Keep in mind my fan wont even see 50% thrust.
This is the fan I use at about 30%. https://www.hydroexperts.com.au/Phresh-Silenced-Stealth-Hyper-Fan-150MM-6-Inch-315CFM-Speed-Adjustable
Or a larger diameter open ended with acoustic foam lining (basically a ghetto rip of an existing product)Doesn't appear to, at least at what I normally have the fan set at. I can always in large the holes if needed.
Proof of concept is two thumbs up!
no worries, looks like its a mixed flow fan anyway. But yea when I held the end cap on there was bugger all pressue on it. I wont have to blue it which is good for dismantling.Like i said if its working yhen probably not an issue but its 590 6mm holes to match a 150mm duct size
I thought of that but having had Baffles for a Chopper I had and knowing how well they worked I decided to go this route.Or a larger diameter open ended with acoustic foam lining (basically a ghetto rip of an existing product)
I recon that would be to match the ducting outlet at full capacity as well. Which im not even close to. I don't think many of us would be as air can be condensed a fair bit.Like i said if its working yhen probably not an issue but its 590 6mm holes to match a 150mm duct size
Perlite from Bunnings is about 500% more expensive than the bags from the hydro shop. Hydro shop is $40-50 for 100l bag of hen course stuff.Thought it may be worth a share but came across this bundle in bunnings for $89. 2 oscilating tower fans pretty small profile good for small grow spaces.View attachment 4227038

Yeah no dramas at all man.Was everything all good nothing broken.
You have to sift it really well. If you leave any bits of roots or anything in it it will attract problems like fungus gnats which will feadt on the decaying rootsdoes anyone who uses coco reuse it? if so do you need to do anything special? Been seeing a bit of mixed info on it. Can always buy more but if its OK for a couple runs without too much work then it saves me a trip to the shop
