The Gavita style DE need a good amount of head height that tents don’t have. I had 12ft ceilings when I used them, hence recommending you have a look at the Hellion adjust a wings as they can be mounted lower to the canopy. There’s also combos with the same shade just different ballasts and lamps. I’m catching up with a mate on Tuesday that’s using that shade with a different ballast that I think runs both MH and HPS, I’ll find out more.

Thats what i did (but my tents a tad taller than urs) and got the 630wDE CMH but a 600wDE will probably be cheaper and give off more heat.

Also, good tents arnt cheap

Hlg 550 is perfect in a 1.2m² mate, I've done 20 oz under a 550, with a pretty average run.

I changed from HPS to the HLG 550v2 rspecs beginning of this year. Lost ceiling height with the new room and wanted to save some $ on electricity, especially cooling cost.
They’re not a DE replacement but I recon would sit somewhere between a 600-1000 SE. Here’s a pic over a 4x4, well 2x (4x4) and 2 x 550’s. A bit of spill over on that too.

IMO they are missing the UV, rumour has it they are about to release a new light comparable to a DE with UV. I’d wait for that or look at the Aussie High Lights.

That’s what I did..waiting, watching, waiting, watching LED development...lol.
And there lies the conundrum.
If electricity cost wasn’t an issue as it is now I’d still be running 1000W DE’s for flower.
Venting, Like seriously...fuck me...the $ per elbows hardly fluctuated since the 90’s, if not gone down in some regions, yet running costs are up 15-20% if not more.
