Aussie Growers Thread

First time amateur here. So what is the view of the more seasoned growers?
There doesn't look to be very many trichomes to me, but they do look cloudy. I'm looking for 10-30% bronze trichomes I think for a balanced high. So how many more weeks?DSC00780_cr.jpg

Cant really tell from that pic mate but just by looking at the bud you got a fair while left

As a result of all that erosion over time, most of our water has low levels of Zinc and other dissolved salts.
That's a fact that I learned as a home brewer (not a bad one, IMHO). Zinc helps your yeast grow, fwiw.

When I bought my land, I was asked to employ a Geotechnical surveyor to provide a report. Sandy loam, then about 6 ft of dense clay, then sand (former swamp). Was advised to sink 6m timber piles (basically treated power poles) to support my concrete foundations.
I asked for $5K reduction on the price of the land, as it cost about that for the extra foundation work.

What I didn't see was the runoff issues, which turned the place back into a swamp every few years.:clap: :wall:

Good for ducks though! Even saw a Wallaroo wading through the water to escape to higher ground.

I do a lovely stout that knocks your head off at 7%.
Love the home brewing, I have full co2 system set up to pour own schooners. Do a nice Czech pilseners too. Thanks growoolit, it's 11am and.thinking about having a beer hahaha

No need to waste electricity here. One in one to go. Days have just gone over 12/12, suns up at 5 these girls go to bed at five with panda film. In a months time I’ll put them down at 4 in the arvo for their last month of flower. Yields looking likely to surpass anything I’ve ever seen.
Low humidity this side of Xmas... early December get ready for Jube-topia haha!!

Early December off the jubes come and on come the 150w spotlights for some revegitation til mid feb, flip these 2nd gen monsters back into bud and do it all again!!

Multiple prizes at state/national level & even one international prize. Used to run a homebrewing supplies warehouse.

'Haven't brewed anything in ages, 'cos all my gear is packed away in the shed where I'm currently living. :(

Lawnmower Weizens in summer & 6-6.5% ABV Porter for the cooler months are my go-to house standards.

11 AM? I'd catch up with the NSW boys from AHB and start drinking at 8 AM.
Tell me about your Czech pils. I have a recipe made with Floor-malted Bohemian pils malt and Wyeast W2278 lager yeast and plenty of Saaz hops. So thirst-quenching.
I also enjoy a Weizenbier, great for Summer.
I have a few 5-tap fonts and beer/ferment/lager fridges and a 500l chest freezer.
I keep coming back to "the Cousin", as Jamil Zainasheff calls it. Did not grow for the last few years, due to a large loss caused by theft and being a good public servant, etc.
