NH wasn’t bad to smoke but a nightmare to grow, takes like 16-20wks and horrible bud structure + foxtail central and a tendency to hermi towards the end.
It’s been quite some time between beauties

Why do you always grow sativa. Get some seeds mate.

If you've already got the gubbins to start-off inside & then move the girls outside to a greenhouse (as previously mentioned), then the world's your oyster. It all depends on what you want to achieve & what medium you're growing in. Obviously, if you're in a pure hydro. setup, it's going to be difficult, but in soil or coco, it's doable. You also want to time your up-potting to match the transfer.

In my research on doing exactly this, I came across a couple of sites:

It's an absolute boon! You can plug-in your exact location & it'll give you precise calculations of sunrise, sunset, daylight duration etc..etc.. F'rinstance, where I am, current daylight hours are just under 13 hours & will peak at 14 hrs 46 mins on 22/12/19.

You can also play-around with dates to know how you want to time your move outside.

I'm not going to simply give you a link, as it would give away my precise street address!!

This all depends on what you plan on doing for your own schedule - I just assumed you intended to start inside & then move outdoors once established. If that's not your agenda, then please ignore my presumption........

Your presumption was correct, start indoors, move them out to reduce bills.

My unique house location doesn't allow for greenhouse space unfortunately. And the 17yo's behind me party every night so eventually the plants will get knocked off.

And fuck me, 4 weeks outside and I've already got thrips, aphids, moths and gnats. I don't know how you outdoor growers do it (without a greenhouse anyway).

I'll be going back to indoor growing

Growing out doors sucks, its like fighting nature and humans at the same time, yeah bugs to hell, fight the elements, shit i used to climb through blackberry bushes and gorse in the middle of the night, up hill carrying in 100s of kgs of potting mix, plants and fertilizer and water.

too old and ugly now, thanks to the blackberry an gorse. will leave it to the younger ones now, ill grow indoors thank you.

Lol what do u mean “always”? NH wasn’t a choice the first time and the second time was cos some absolute c@cksmoker didn’t have a freaking clue which plant he was cloning.
No more sativa doms for me the smoke just isn’t worth it. Although I will say I made a killing out of the last NH run - sold 38oz from 5 plants vegged for 4wks. Not bad but still no where near worth it.

Haha I’m just backwards then, I start outside and bring them in to go to work. I’m pretty all over the pests from the start so they never really get a foot in before they move inside. Except for those gnats! For the life of me I cannot get rid of them completely. I’ve even let pots dry completely (accidentally) and they’re still there little fuckers

yeah gnats are fuckers , try this, add 5cm of dry fine river sand on top of your potting mix or coco, mist the sand heavily with 10 ml of Tea tree essential oil per litre of water with a few drops of dish washing liquid, (shake well) for 5 days, wet the sand 2 cm deep (use a knapsack sprayer) each day, after 5 days ,then 10 mls of rosemary oil per litre of water with a few drops of dish washing liquid for a another 5 days., pour a little of the tea tree oil water in your pots watering tray if you have one. spray the tent walls. keep your pots fairly dry in this 10 day period , no more gnats. let me know if it works for you.

If you still have a problem after 10 days (unlikely) water the pots with a watering can with 5ml of Tea tree oil per litre of water add a few drops of dishwashing liquid, stir well then water to saturation.. that will definitely kill the fuckers and tea tree oil doesn't harm roots.

Vicks, works well too, dissolve in hot water dilute and mist, the walls ands surface areas, the surface of the soil, just dont water it on or mist the plant directly, or get any on the leaves or roots., mist the floor, pots, sand and walls are fine. sorry about the smell, but great for lights off fans off , gassing the gnats.

You’re right they can and they are driving me crazy. I don’t know if u were around for when I sprinkled de over the top of coco in 5 35L pots without (first time ever!!) doing my research. Well actually that’s a lie because I really did research it and couldn’t get a solid answer, even on here no one had actually done it and like u said they were driving me
crazy so I just did it. Caused no hiccup to 3 of them but two got seriously fucked up with drainage problems cos the de goes gluggy through the medium and it’s straight coco no perlite. Took me hundreds and hundreds of back-breaking litres leaching them, was using drip clean, bottom feeding, dunking into bigger pots, you name it. Took me 2 odd months to get those leaves right again was full on. On the bright side tho I didn’t have a gnat problem anymore

I’ve used de to get rid of mites dust that shit and it on the leaves it fucks them up. The de powder if fine but also sharp it’s like us being showered with broken glass and then walking on it . Also I add it as a source of silica in my soil (don’t have any issues you have had) and I use it on the farm for the animals keeps the bugs off em.

But I can imagine it turning to silt and clogging up heaps if done wrong.

Yeah see all the info I was finding was regarding to using it on soil and not coco specifically. I know it’s a good source of silica etc and that it wouldn’t harm them so I just bit the bullet and did it.
When u say if it’s done wrong what do u mean? All I did was sprinkle some thru a strainer over the tops of the coco. Maybe I accidentally put too much over the two that clogged?
As for using on leaves yeah I’ve done that too. It really is good stuff. I put it in a water bottle and spray it on and then when it dries it leaves the powder on the leaves and starts doing it’s job. I sprinkle it all over my floors and outside of shed too.

You should of just mixed it thru like Coco said or used the Eradicator as Papa suggested. Its good stuff. But the best way to learn is to make the mistakes ourselves.

I just haven’t had those issues but a bag got wet once and it basically went the texture of clay. So I can see how it would be a nightmare if to much was applied
