Shyte ... those must be damn big holes, I would have just enriched the existing soil with a bag of peat for water retention and a bag of cow shit for food ... 2 bags per hole, then plant and forget.

Just make your own dirt on site....

Permaculture

Water harvesting, companion planting etc would make guerrilla growing a lot less labor intensive and more stealthy at the same time.
Bring the mountain to you, as so to speak. Theres heaps of shit on you-tube and there is an awesome torrent on it also.

Nothing around my grow site it is just sandstone, nothing but a bit of molasses grass and lantana.

My soil mix is Blood and bone, gypsum and dolomite lime mixed with coco, a little perlite and worm cast and a small amount of composted mushroom compost, all left for months to break down you can plant seedlings in it and have no issues with burning and plants thrive, also retains water real well whilst also not compacting and offering insulation of the roots. As for the holes they range from 3' wide and a metre deep to around 4' deep, all have been covered with dolomite lime in the preceding months to ensure a stable ph'd soil for the roots to expand to.

Plan for next years is to bring a whole heap of mulch to my sites a few months before hand and a couple of kilo's of worms (reds and natives mixed for the best results) and have perfect soil without hauling anything in the hot summer sun.

It certainly sounds like you have the perfect location, you wouldn't want to spent so much time and energy on a spot that can be found by wandering thieves.

It looks like one of my plants when its air pump dies and the roots suffocate. The leaves claw down and the areas between the leaf veins dry out.
How often do you water them? In coco you only really need to water when the top 10mm dries out.

Nice cheap autoflower that is quick to flower....any suggestions?....or offers? :P

EDIT: Odlaw looks like the same problem i had last grow and seem to be showing signs of it now again. I think rusty has hit the nail on the head....for me it was over watering and cool temps so run them dry and a lil hotter till they bounce back :D

For those with over-watering issues I suggest DWC bongsmilie

Hey Chunky i came across one of your outdoor plants while i was bushwalking

LOL
I wish, I am hoping for some monsters but it's going to be a wet summer see how they like it hopefully they thrive and I don't have to haul to much water, I got them all vegged to a foot high with 4 main stems and I have roughly 5 months of veg time I got 1.2 metre plants in my winter grow with holes a 5th of this size and only vegged to 6 inches so I should do alright.

you should definitely end up with monsters man, thats alotta veg time plus you gave them a good head start, gonna be a good season for you
i wish i had a place to raise monsters, i have to keep pruning and training my outdoor crop to keep them low, my fence is about 2 meters high so i need to keep them below that height, which can get difficult when your dealing with sativas lol..

30 years ago I had exactly the same problem, they were poking above the top of a 2 metre fence in my parents back yard.
My old man and I spent about 3 hours harvesting one of the 12 plants - not sure about the weight, all I know is that the police had to take the harvested (and dry) buds to the butcher next to the police station to weigh them as they didn't have big enough scales. The other 11 plants were ripped out of the ground and crammed into the back of the cop car along with me - got some funny looks from the early morning commuters :-)

ah that sucks man! that's definitely a problem i don't want to have thats for sure, although im not even close to having as much bud as you would of had at the time, ouch.
