anyone got any thought on good outdoor strains that grow well in southern regions of australia.
own experiences with strains outdoors etc

As tricka said, for some reason, unknown to myself as im no botonist, sativa's love the Southern Australia weather.

interested to see some pics of your indoor setup, im currently running top feed to recycle in coco and would have preferred to do run to waste but have no floor drainage and dont think a hose running to the bathroom or laundry drain would be appropriate.

Its been dunk and rolled and placed in the terrarium last week, its grown a whole new (10mm) layer of the whitest mycelium thet ive ever seen, but no pin heads just as yet....im still waiting,
Maybe these Wollongong Gold tops are harder to grow than i thought?

im flowering the 2 mothers while im starting my other 2 strains. once theyre sexed ill be back up and running again.
heres pics of the 2 mothers 3 weeks into flower

lol i just have a 19mm hose running out the wall into my veg patch. with feeding 30 seconds every 3 hours i get around 15 liters run off from the 2 plants. easily could be drained into a 20l container. why wouldnt it be appropriate to let it drain out in the bathroom or laundry ?
i used to run recirc but noticed when i did a new nute batch the plants boomed up too 2-3in that day then had the same amount of growth for the next 4 days til i changed again.
its like giving your plants a nice roast with veg and salad, everything they need but only letting them have a few mouth fulls them letting them have a cpl more mouthfuls from the same meal the next day. soon as i switched to rtw system i was consitently getting 1-3in growth everyday.
i used coco years ago but the quality has improved so much since i first used it, my local hydro store convinced me to change and its the best thing i ever did.
even gave him a nice NL cola for his help

im still tryin to sort it out its an ex demo so i got it cheap but it has no instructions lol and ive never used one but they said it was easy to fly a good starter chopper
they did give me new batteries for remote and chopper as well
its spose to go up down foward reverse left right but all it seems to want to do is spin so im guessing i got to adjust sumtin lol maybe we should catch up and you can teach me how the fuck to fly it rotfl

Hey Jas, I'm setting up a dtw coco grow too, and was wondering what kind of ppm/concentration you're using, and how many times a day does your pump go on? I'm a total n00bcake as far this hydro stuff is concerned.

i dont use EC. i fill my brain every 2-3 days. its a blue 44 gal plastic drum one. i run my timers every 3 hrs for 30 seconds.
id also recommend using CANNA products.
if your green to growing indoors id try sussing out your local hydro shops and talk with them. but dont mention pot etc.....
and ask them questions : how long have you been into hydro etc, indirect questions.
dont go in there yeah im trying to grow some fat killer buds can you help me lol
youd be suprised how many people do.
the shop i go too the guys that work there have atleast 20yrs growing experience each.
was slwo going at first but there is an etiquette to talking to the people in there. id steer clear of the ones that talk pot with you straight out.
when you find a good that that offers great advice, discount ( cos you buy most all your stuff from them) they will chill out and be even more helpful then you could have ever thought.
we were all newbies once, its all about learning.

Sup Fuckers hope ya's are all getting stuck into the long break nice and early, sinking piss and smoking cones....and some choccy easter eggs on Sunday, fuck YEAH!

These are my 2.3wk or there abouts flowering girls -- donations from a mate who's gone clone crazy lol,
Now remeber a few weeks back, these are the same plants! the smoke is heavy and fruity at the same time...strain as ive already said is unknown to me
....anyways, its a bit crowded in there as my mate vegged the last 2wks and didnt train them...so i tied the sluts down and whipped them good...now look what they're producing, will ScrOG my next 3 pots after these as they love to be topped this strain!

why is everyone growing under cfl's these days ?
i prefer to run my 400, 600 and 1000w HPS globes
but i guess with sog and scrog its all you need.
i still reckon i yield more from vegging a plant for 8 weeks and then flowering it
but am trying a sog with 20 plants soon under 6 * 600w HPS

You know i use a 600w cooltube in my tent, this is just a smal veg box i built for ease and fun

A: im in a rental
B: i dont have the space
C: they still produce enough for my smoking requirements
D: they are cheap
E: they are not hot to run
F: they are cheaper to run
G: pick a reason?

Jason2011, I can't run hosing from 2 separate rooms in a rental, we have visitors and seeing hosing running from rooms to the laundry will raise questions and curiosity and in these times with electricity rates and general cost of living top feed to recycle seems a good way to go. I run the pumps for 2 mins every 4 hours and had stable solid growth.
