on another note guys i have now finished trimming my sun maiden, 3 morning glories and 1 bubba kush. and i have taken 1 thing away from this grow worth noting.

yeah i want to swap all my lights to cmh but then what the hell would i do with my current lights? although im toying with the idea of a hps cmh combo grow in the future

can you point me in a direction on ebay for cmh?? and just a query, yo say 400cmh shits over 600 hps, in what way cheers forge, oh and can you get 600 cmh?? need a different ballast for cmh? or runs on magnetic coil? or am i in need of a damn digital ballast? just lining things up for next grow.

u have to get them sent over from the states
they dont make a 600w yet but its on the cards shortly i believe
heres a shot of the difference in spectrum between a 400w cmh and a 400w hps

also they put out much more par light than a hps.
the other advantages are that the cmh runs cooler keeping temps down in your tent.
the biggest difference i noted is that all the lower buds developed fully under the 400w cmh i didnt throw anything out. the 600w hps in theory should have better penetration but it just doesnt i ended up throwing out heaps of the lower buds under my 600w.
also the plants just seem happier in general, tighter node spacing in veg and i reckon the buds just seem to be a bit more solid and compact aswell. although that could just be the strain
do you have a 400w ballast lying around? if so im thinking about buying a few cmh bulbs in bulk to save a bit of money in the long run so i could probably get one down to you. they are about $60 but the postage is killer so if i could buy in bulk i would save loads

i should mention that i had a pretty shitty 600w bulb though. i normally use a sylvania grolux 600w, but it crapped out on me in early flower and i switched out to a growlush bulb that i just had lying around as a spare and never bothered changing it back to a better bulb. the growlush bulbs are widely excepted as shit bulbs that effect yield

i honestly cant comment on the sun master as i havnt tried one but i think they are pretty much the same thing. they are both hps with added blue spectrum.
