Authentic Genetics

My two NL#2 from Authentic Genetics have been really good in veg. Once the older one was transplanted and topped it took off. I need to transplant the small one since it's still in a Solo cup. The NL2 plant is the one with yellow and blue sticky traps in the pot. Hopefully I'll have a girl between the two of them but I'll save pollen if it's a male for pollen chucking. So... Its cured and tastes awesome (soft piney with some skunk maybe.... some other flavor in there). I'm very happy with NL#2.

Easy Plant to grow as well. She was busy AF... and frankly I didn't think I would yield as much as I did. For the size the yield was large.

Now... I also bought Skunk #1 and Original Haze from AG at the same time. Not too keen to sink these as much any more. I heard skunk #1 was not skunky but fruity, and I ran a few 12-16w strains (panama and golden tiger) last year and I'm not sure I smoke them enough to make it worth the effort

Any opinions on Skunk #1 or OH?

Skunk #1 will still be a good plant, I don't care what anyone says. The Skunk #1 precursor plants I grew out smelled like straight up candy, which was interesting because I used to have a Romulan cut (or what was labeled as such) that smelled exactly the same. They were resinous and frosty. Not everyone's cup of tea but I think the strain is legendary for a reason.

The OHaze will take some digging and patience to find gold but it is in there.

Did a real thorough inspection of my NL2 today and found the news I was hoping for... she's a girl!! I'm going to cull the one in the Solo now I have a female. Such an easy plant so far, hope it gains a little size over the next few weeks before flip. The two Purest Indica plants are both girls and one is getting ready for some BOG Blue Kush pollen that I'm hoping adds to the flavor and size a little.IMG_20230219_160750093_HDR~2.jpgIMG_20230219_160931222.jpg

came across the mention of this seed bank while reading the forums. read a little about the owner. went and checked the site.
interesting selection, and great prices.

i have been growing fems and autos to this point, but am very interested in trying my hand at some pollen chucking. this breeder seemed to be highly respected among some of the OGs here. decided to give them a go and hope they provide me some strong "stud" males.

was hoping to see if any of y'all have grown out any of the strains i ordered. stories of your experience(s) with them would be greatly appreciated. i know a lot of you guys are more interested in the skunky/fuely/chemmy strains, but for my patient, the fruity indicas, kush and GDP seem to be helping out the most so will stick with those (for time being).

ordered:
Grandaddy Purple x NL#5
OG Kush x Purest Indica
Purple NL#5 (Purple Kush x NL#5)

have learned a lot of neat stuff just quietly reading thru these forums. hoping this breeder tip pans out as well.
y'all haven't let me down so far... thanks.

Both my Purest Indica plants are looking good at 27 days from flip as is the Northern Lights#2 both from Authentic Genetics. I hit both with BOG Seeds Blue Kush pollen and have been really happy with them. The NL#2 is a hungry plant and has been pale green this entire run. Hoping the darker green coming in lately is a sign I'm finally feeding it enough.

Ordered 10 purple nl#5 seeds received 9. Out of the 9 have 4 that are vegging 5 did not germinate. Will let you know how they go once complete if you are wondering. I buy seeds a lot. Read about them on og so ordered a pack. So far not too impressed. after I see all the ad bombs and articles I have read makes me think hype over quality but lets see what these 4 do

Northern Lights#2 from AG is starting to bulk up some and has a great classic Northern Lights smell, at least from what I remember smoking in the late 80s. Purest Indica is more funky, earthy smelling with good trichome production. Can't wait to grow out the NL#5 seeds soon.

I believe it was called Fairfax 4 way back in the day. Very rare and hard to find now.
Yeah the Fairfax Fourway cut in particular was found by a friend of Grahams (Mr. Bob Hemphill) in Fairfax Virginia. I used to have the cut and lost her years ago, she was a very skunky plant with a buttery and gasoline type background. She did amazing outdoors, grew her here in eastern Kentucky for nearly 3 years.

That cut is gone now, for good. Unless someone is hiding her out somewhere. Mr. Bob don't even have the cut anymore, the plant came down with a viral infection (probably hop latent) and is gone with the wind. I have 3 packs of the last pollination the fairfax cut ever received back when Graham was still with Kagyu (coastal seeds) which was his NL2 x Fourway (Fourora Borealis). I traded Kagyu 2 packs of the Beatrix Choice I open pollinated from the original SSSC release to 3 of those, he said that was the last of them. What I am hoping for is to find a strong Fairfax leaner to hit with my Skunky Fourway male I found in a pre2k pack of Sensi Fourway. The Fairfax cut was found in 95 and my pack was from 98, before Sensi Seeds went to shit.

My other Fourway male is literally THE definition of the purest indica/afghanica you will ever see, the leaves on that guy look literally prehistoric. You can see pics of him on my Instagram. I plan on doing an open pollination of the 98 Fourway and doing a one time release eventually. That line is dank asf.
