do you really think reverend wright is racist?

when i finally sat down and listened to the sermons years later, i heard him speaking out AGAINST racism. he cited interrment of the japanese, jim crow laws, and the like when he said "god damn america".

tell me what you think of reverend wright, and if his speeches are indeed racist.
Racist against black people? Is that the only racism there is?

Ron Paul doesn't care about black people.
Ron Paul cares about everyone equally, unlike you who insists on special favors for certain people based on looks or affiliation. Ron Paul doesn't make his decisions based on 1 group. He believes in freedom and liberty for everyone equally. No group should be placed above or given special favors over another.
The speaker mentions the president appoints appellate judges as well as Supreme Court justices. I never knew the president appointed the appellate judges.

Obama is responsible for everything he has ever written or had ghost written for him. When the allegations about Rev. Wright came out (listen to the whole speech from Wright about racism in america) Obama quit the church and Disavowed Wright.

Ron Paul is responsible for what he has published. Even Ron Paul sheepishly has admitted he is responsible.
I don't think that's correct. He said something along the lines of "he's like an opinionated uncle that he doesn't always agree with".
Ron Paul wasn't active in the newsletter when those articles were published. Obama was still going to the church when Rev Wrights hate rhetoric was going around.

Depends. If I have a magazine and my employee writes a offensive article then it is up to me to not publish it. If i do then i am just as responsible for the reprehensible article as said employee.
So how can Ron Pauls employee be secretly racist if he openly writes racist shit? And how can Ron Paul not be responsible if he allows it to be published?
First off it's the job of the editor not the publisher. Second thing, Ron Paul wasn't involved with the newsletter. You don't even know who is in charge so quit pointing fingers.
Should a retired person who owned a company be responsible for that same company doing something that was always against the actions of that retired person.
"I'll never change the formula of coca cola." So five years after I retire someone changes the formula and somehow I'm responsible?
"Its not my fault, he made me mommy". It's never the fault of the person doing the act, someone else is always responsible right? Stand up like a man and take responsibility for your own actions instead of passing the buck.

And speaking of unclebuck every time I'm rude to him it's never his fault. Every single time I say something mean to him, he didn't make me do it. I did it. I'm responsible. He has never forced me to say anything.

Not being a racist doesn't change the fact that the guy's an unelectable idiot.
What makes him an idiot? Was he an idiot when he voted against the Housing Bill that ruined the economy. He told us the exact reasons why the economy would crash and he was correct.
Was he an idiot when he told us our foreign policy of intervention and occupation would bring about a 9/11 type attack?
Here is a video of Ron Paul in a speech made to the House of Representatives on April 24, 2002 along with the transcript. His speech is about what would happen if we don't change our policies of control and tyranny. I want you to tell me what makes him an idiot?
I'd really be interested in hearing your reply.

Yes the publisher is responsible for the content, unless they make a disclaimer to the affect
" The publisher is not responsible for the opinions of the author"
The other poster is right. The editor is responsible. that's his job. Quit making things up. Go ask someone in the business, they'll tell you the facts so you wont continue sounding like an uniformed teenager.

Was there any disclaimer that the opinions are solely that of the author?

Wait was there anything in the newsletters that even suggested the author was none other than Ron Paul?
Is there any proof he wrote them. Guilty until proven innocent, right? You don't solve problems very well.

So what would lead the readers of the Ron Paul Newsletters to think that the opinion was not that of Ron Paul?
Everything he's ever said and stood for. lmao you really don't know much about Ron Paul so why comment?

When exactly did Ron Paul state that they werent his opinions?

last year?
No, not last year. When the writings first came to his attention. If you had followed politics in the 2007 election it came up then. But you were probably in elementary school then. How come you don't know that yet automatically think he did? Even though everything he's stood for has been the opposite of what's in those articles?
Why comment when you are uninformed? At least ask questions and quit making baseless accusations.

decades?

a decade is 10 years, so your claim is that he has been denying the newsletters for 20 years or more.

16 years ago, he claimed he wrote the newsletters.

16 < 20

your explanation does not comport with reality.

can you find a video or newspaper from 1992 or before where he denied writing them?
So the important thing to you is it wasn't 20 years it was less? You miss the important point and deflect as usual. You cannot solve problems and get the correct answer when you continue to nitpick in order to be right instead of looking for the truth on what is important.

Seems people would rather have someone say they believe in one thing then do another. It's what a person believes that really counts.

I'll have a transparent presidency and allow everyone to write on the white house forum site before I approve or veto. But the bill before his desk is signed and never goes to the forum talk.

I won't allow federal funds to be used against medical states. Then you liberal jackasses excuse it saying he would commit reelection suicide? It's worse he lied. He has no recourse? He can fire Eric Holder you morons!

I promise the Olympics to Chicago. Too hilarious, no need to say more.

I will close Guantanamo! Haha. Cause he's so against torture.

I will veto the NDAA. Really? Cause you so respect freedom and liberty. He ain't no dictator, bitches!

I promise new jobs. **Crickets**

No, really this time I mean it. .... Shakes head.

One of my first actions will be to take the troops in Iraq home. That one's not really a lie, huh? He hasn't done shit, but three years later does it. Great job!

I promise! I promise! I promise! I.... Obama's 2012 campaign slogan.

lol, worse yet he is putting thousands more troops in places all over the world, also getting ready for war with iran and china sending troops to asia, slashing the soldiers benefits and focusing more on pushing power and force around the world. In this defense spending cut the only thing getting cut are soldiers benefits, on top of that indefinite detainment of any american citizen without due process, including execution, SOPA looking like it will pass. Thank you obama you da man. Should i keep going?

unelectable
The fuck does that even mean?

The only way someone could be "unelectable" would be if they were

1) Not born in the United States
2) Under the age of 35
3) Have not lived in the United States for the past 14 years

Anything beyond that just makes the word propaganda used to defame a candidate.

I posted this in another thread. Here is the entire speech of Wrights not just the "goddamn america part"

Clips from a sermon that Wright gave, entitled "Confusing God and Government", were also shown on ABC's Good Morning America[SUP][1][/SUP] and Fox News. In the sermon, Wright first makes the distinction between God and governments, and points out that many governments in the past have failed: "Where governments lie, God does not lie. Where governments change, God does not change."[SUP][21][/SUP] Wright then states:
"[The United States] government lied about their belief that all men were created equal. The truth is they believed that all white men were created equal. The truth is they did not even believe that white women were created equal, in creation nor civilization. The government had to pass an amendment to the Constitution to get white women the vote. Then the government had to pass an equal rights amendment to get equal protection under the law for women. The government still thinks a woman has no rights over her own body, and between Uncle Clarence who sexually harassed Anita Hill, and a closeted Klan court, that is a throwback to the 19th century, handpicked by Daddy Bush, Ronald Reagan, Gerald Ford, between Clarence and that stacked court, they are about to undo Roe vs. Wade, just like they are about to un-do affirmative action. The government lied in its founding documents and the government is still lying today. Governments lie."
He continued:
"The government lied about Pearl Harbor too. They knew the Japanese were going to attack. Governments lie. The government lied about the Gulf of Tonkin Incident. They wanted that resolution to get us in the Vietnam War. Governments lie. The government lied about Nelson Mandela and our CIA helped put him in prison and keep him there for 27 years. The South African government lied on Nelson Mandela. Governments lie."
Wright then stated:
"The government lied about the Tuskegee experiment. They purposely infected African American men with syphilis. Governments lie. The government lied about bombing Cambodia and Richard Nixon stood in front of the camera, 'Let me make myself perfectly clear...' Governments lie. The government lied about the drugs for arms Contra scheme orchestrated by Oliver North, and then the government pardoned all the perpetrators so they could get better jobs in the government. Governments lie.... The government lied about inventing the HIV virus as a means of genocide against people of color. Governments lie. The government lied about a connection between Al Qaeda and Saddam Hussein and a connection between 9.11.01 and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Governments lie."
He spoke about the government's rationale for the Iraq War:
"The government lied about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq being a threat to the United States peace. And guess what else? If they don't find them some weapons of mass destruction, they gonna do just like the LAPD, and plant the some weapons of mass destruction. Governments lie."
Wright then commented on God and government:
"And the United States of America government, when it came to treating her citizens of Indian descent fairly, she failed. She put them on reservations. When it came to treating her citizens of Japanese descent fairly, she failed. She put them in internment prison camps. When it came to treating her citizens of African descent fairly, America failed. She put them in chains, the government put them on slave quarters, put them on auction blocks, put them in cotton field, put them in inferior schools, put them in substandard housing, put them in scientific experiments, put them in the lowest paying jobs, put them outside the equal protection of the law, kept them out of their racist bastions of higher education and locked them into positions of hopelessness and helplessness. The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three-strike law and then wants us to sing 'God Bless America.' No, no, no, not God Bless America. God damn America — that's in the Bible — for killing innocent people. God damn America, for treating our citizens as less than human. God damn America, as long as she tries to act like she is God, and she is supreme. The United States government has failed the vast majority of her citizens of African descent.."[SUP][[/SUP]
